100% agree here. Best ever. Plug and Play for a guy who isn't really a DIY guy. Price may be above your budget, but I highly recommend this one. Customer service rocks too! Plenty of youtube videos on this, as well as stuff here on TW. I have (1) 2-way remote, so I know when the remote starting sequence was successful and the truck is running. It also chimes when it "times out". I have a 2nd remote, but it is not 2-way. Not a big deal as I keep it upstairs with me when I want to start the truck in the morning. I don't need the feedback as I can just look outside and see the truck is running. Also - used it the other day at 1/4 mile (per Google maps), and it was not "line-of-sight" (at least one building in the way) and it worked flawlessly. Good luck.

Thanks for the pics. I will have our guys add those remotes on our website for you, but it probably won't be until after the holidays.

+1 for accesorides......ive had it installed now for about a year. I recently had some kind person pull out in front of me last month and smash my shit up. After almost 6 weeks in the shop the truck is back and looks great. But my remote start wasnt working. I called accesorides at 4:30p on a Thursday and a human answered the phone! We weren’t able to sort out the issue due to time constraints on my part. But i called back the very next day, same person answered and spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me trying various things. Eventually things were sorted out and all is good. The toughest part of the install for me was just cleanly routing all the wires to my liking. The accesorides was easy to install and the customer service is great.

A couple of years ago I got a remote starter. It’s either Viper or Compustar, installed at Best Buy. Right when I got the truck the transmission light went off and the truck started to shift weird. When I removed the starter relay the truck went back to normal. Went back to Best Buy the technician went over everything again and couldn’t find any issues with the installation procedure. Ended up removing it and since then I am hesitant about it. I asked the dealer about installing one and they said they outsource it as well.
    Anyone had any similar issues?
Do you vouch for a diy product? I am pretty handy and would like to do it myself if it is straightforward.

Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
    *sigh*

I'd kill for either 12volt or accessorides to release a plug'n'play kit for us 6speed stick wigglers. There are plenty of other splice-in units on the market but there are no T-harnesses or PnP kits for manual vehicles to be found anywhere, and I really don't want to irreversibly hack up my harness to splice in the extensive amount of associated wiring.

That’s a RF-2W9000-SS remote. You can still get them or with Compustar just upgrade to a new remote kit. If the antenna cable is the same all you need to do is connect the new antenna and program the remotes. If different then just replace the cable provided.

Completely agree. I went with the two way from Accessorides on my 2012 about a year ago. Install probably took an hour and a majority of that time was the door lock connection - huge pain. Overall I'm very happy with it works far away. Only complaint is sometimes I can't hear the chimes on the fob, but that's probably a setting I can adjust. I emailed accessorides when I ordered to get it programmed for the longest run time on the remote start and they set it to open the drivers door with one press of the unlock then the passenger door with a second press.

    Accessorides, no issues, love it.
I second the sentiments on the door lock connection.

@Accessorides, with the smartstart phone app can you retain the factory remotes for keyless entry or do you have to use the provided remotes?

I installed the N2 remote start on my 2019 TRD OR. I didnt do alot of research and probably could have found cheaper. But it works great for me. I am not certain they have one for your year.
