I guess this thread has been silent for a few months.

Planning on swapping all drive line fluids after the first of the year. I reckon I'll go with redline.

If anyone has fluid recommendations for the drive line or diffs vs trans and transfer I'm open to them.

    62824 mi on original fluid.

Does someone have a link to the thread adapter that will allow me to return to Toyota oem thread?

I couple months back I posted a video in here of some play in my shifter. I checked the bolts in the shifter shaft to the angle bracket but not the angle bracket to the base itself so I'm going to check that and report back.

My old Chevy with a core shifter has similar play. I'm going to attempt to loctite and tighten the base bolts as well.

Unrelated: when did y'all realize it was time for brakes or just brake pads? I put a lot of miles on my truck for work. (Probably put 30,000 ish on it since March 2021, at 62xxx now)

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Some competition finally poked its head in the door? It looks way better to me. If that has an M12 thread for the knob, it might be hard for me to resist.

That looks like a more refined clone of the Core shifter...

I can't find any documentation on the threads although it does not look like the stock thread to me. I may just order one anyways and I'll report back my findings...

Yeah. Not even in the instructions.

If it is M12, don't tell me! :D

I used Redline for the diffs on my 2018 (with no apparent gains or issues).
I was chasing some notchiness in the MT and tried Redline, and then switched to Motorcraft XT-M5-QS. The Motorcraft felt like it gave smoother shifts than the Redline. Cost is similar and both met Toyota specs.

This one is isolated vs the solid shaft with the Hurst, it'll be interesting to see the difference between the stock shifter and this B&M since they're both isolated with rubber

It could be a better solution than the rubber shim that Core has?

    Good luck!

In a turn of events I ended up with both the B&M and a Hurst. While I should have tested them both before fully installing, I didn't. I sort of lowered the B&M into the spot but didn't want to scratch it or anything by bolting it down. Ended up putting the Hurst in because of it being tested by many people vs being an unknown shifter that might still be sloppy like the factory. If anyone is interested I can post photos of the B&M and take measurements etc before I send it back. Unless anyone here wants to buy it

Did the stock shift knob fit on the B&M?

Dammit! I'd take that off your hands, but my mod money is non-existent.

I paid 297 last week, it's really no gain for you except they're now 308 on the website. Shipping would probably cost somewhere around 20 or 25 I'd imagine.

Gotcha. Let me think about that. Was hoping you would have installed it to give some feedback on it.
