Everything looks good on the showroom floor. I was impressed by the way a SAAB looked on the show show room. Mechanically, it was nothing but trouble. There’s a reason they don’t make them anymore. I’d go with a proven model that’s been out there for years…..a Prius for two and if you want that type of truck, a Ridgeline. The way things are going, there could be more options for awd hybrids from Toyota in two years. The RAV hybrid is no slouch either.

The Prius awd is only for start up and low speed and it has very little ground clearance. So it’s a commuter car with mild snow and slippery start traction…..nothing like a RAV hybrid or any SUV.

The older ones were decent IIRC. I wouldn't trust any GM vehicle made in more recent years, like past 20 years..more a lack of trust in the company and their deceit.

The Malibu was a rental b/c they had nothing else, I had to take that or nothing short term. Kept it a few weeks only b/c my wife liked the heated seats, since she came off a lot of her meds preparing for a major spinal surgery. I got the Nissan Frontier DCSB we talked about before after about 4 weeks.

I could be wrong but I want to say a 2003 S-10 or Sonoma I test drove back in 2007 had that engine..seemed decent enough I think

Ford came out with a sweet-looking new Bronco, and Chevy puts the Blazer nameplate on a bloated Murano...

Here is the S-10 we were talking about last night, the one that almost got me into trouble with some confrontational moron who saw me from the street and thought I was taking pictures of his shitbox Buick that happened to be parked right behind the S-10...

This S-10 is a 2000 Xtreme model with the 4.3L V6, and according to Carfax it had about 144K miles on it when I took the pictures back in June 2013, and probably has about 190K miles on it now!

I won't. I am not a fan of Maverick. Looks ugly and it is so tiny.

    Nothing wrong with that.
I can foresee myself owning an electric or hybrid in the next 10 years.
I know quite a few people with Prius and Tesla.

I like the the RAV4, but if going hybrid. I might as well go for mpg.
I figure keep my Tacoma and get a fuel saver.

I forget when Lincoln debuted the new Continental, but it wasn't in production for very long before Ford decided to stop production of cars to focus on more-profitable SUVs and crossovers; I was denied the opportunity to sit in brand new Continental at the Philly Auto Show back in like 2018 or 2019 because some asshole vandalized the complex multi-position power seats and the decision was made to lock the cars up and keep the public out.

Continentals are very expensive and in an era when sales of domestic sedans were waning, there os not a whole hell of a lot of them on the road, even in affluent Doylestown; As such, it had been such a long time since I'd seen one that when I saw this one in the showroom at Fred Beans on Sunday and I saw that it had suicide doors, I was not entirely sure that it what it was, especially since production of the Continental ended after the 2020 model year. It was a Sunday, so the dealer was closed, and I obviously could not go inside; I drove all the way back to Fred Beans on Monday morning after checking out the lone Maverick they had at Chapman, in the opposite direction, just to get a better look at this gleaming white luxury sedan...

Yes, this is a BRAND NEW 2020 Lincoln Continental; It is legally two years old, and I believe it was a demonstrator so it has some miles on, but it is also legally a brand new car because it's never been issued a title!

Fred Beans is huge, with thousands of vehicles across multiple properties, and I actually would not be surprised if this car was forgotten for a year or so; The salesman I talked to mentioned that despite the low mileage, the oil had likely been changed because it sat for so long!

    @Plain Jane Taco

I might actually be buying a Prius; I'm talked to my aunt in California, and they're willing give me first dibs on their 2012 Prius V. I have no idea when they're going to buy a Tesla, but I'm thinking I'll have enough to pay cash for the the Prius without annihilating my savings by the time they decide to get rid of it!

What is the price on that bad boy being it’s now 2 years old?

In my excitement, I forgot to check the window sticker; Bringing the truck to my mechanic to finally get the front shocks replaced and I'll go back and check the price since Fred Beans is right around the corner from my mechanic. I'm thinking that they might actually have to sell it below sticker, even in this market, since it not technically a new car. Then again, maybe not. If Sloane Toyota can get almost $30K for used 2020 Corolla LE with almost 30K miles, then Fred Beans can probably get above sticker for a 2020 Continental that's never been issued a title!

And if you think that's crazy, back in early 2018 I saw a brand new 2015 Nissan Frontier that had a window sticker and had never been titled, thus legally making it a brand new truck; If I remember correctly, it was a fleet special order that had never been picked up and Beans was finally deciding to cut their losses and sell it...

A used 2020 with 25k miles is still going for $50-53k depending on engine output (335 or 400 hp).

Okay, yeah, they're getting at least sticker; If you scroll up, you'll see that I'm thinking of buying my aunt and uncle's 2012 Prius V to supplement the Tacoma and save gas, but I think they'll cut me a deal...

I refuse to buy any other vehicle in this market, because dealers are starting to blur the line between pricing according to what people are crazy enough to pay, and just being assholes.

Went back to Fred Beans today to take pictures of the window sticker; It's not just a Continental...

    It's a personal limousine!
