A drive like that is great with a Company Truck when your paid from when you leave to you geyt home.

Personal vehicle the closer the better.

One always wonders about new Coworkers ! If I got asked back I always asked to see the Shop and Equipment to check that out as well as scope out the coworkers .

Nothing like a clueless HR person explaining a job they have no clue about .

I think my trailer is $14.00 a year.
I paid ridiculous amount of money for a set of vintage plates for my 1968 Corvette. But there's a deal like a historic or parade plate fee think it's a one time $50.00 or 75 been awhile since I checked
Oh plates I paid....:anonymous:$250.00 but he threw in a extra set:rolleyes:

I like this guy; I can give a basic idea what needs done, quick how I'd do it and he's able to run with it. Machinist skill set speaking. I just flat out told him if he can get that job at a coal burner that's only going to top out $5.00 a hour less then it's kind of a no brainer, besides being closer to home. The Nuclear world, I think we get much better mechanical training through training department but once your done and in the actual field working....procedures for everything. It's a wonder a guy wipe his hind end without instructions around there:rofl:
Then many jobs have someone looking over your shoulder making sure you've properly carried out various steps....many times this person don't know a valve from a door knob..
Overall these paperwork/procedures are a good measure, all about safety and equipment runs as it should when it should.

This. When I first moved in the place I am now I would leave the house on Monday, grab the company van for the week and go wherever (Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Philly, etc...) and come back on Friday. That was only about 50 miles a week. Got tired of being on the road and switched jobs. Now I have a 60 mile round trip to work each day, 4 days a week. So far in a year I've put over 14K miles on my truck, not counting the miles I've put on the Camry and Talon o_O That's been alot of fuel. Glad I plan on closing on a house only 17 miles from work here soon...

    Naa..
The top of the line engine, the Thunderbird 312, had 270 hp which was pretty respectable for 1957. Only 2 sensors (water temp and oil psi) and not a computer in sight.

Yea, ol' Bob is a pretty cool guy. Said he was able to even get the headlight trim and even rear quarter patch panels for it! Shame I'm moving out of the area, but probably will have him inspect the ol' Talon and probably Tacoma. Will only be a 25 minute ride.

He's gonna try and keep the old 292, but if not swap for a 5.4 2 valve.

It looks like it will miss you in the Northern reaches of the Commonwealth.

It might even stay south of the Lehigh Valley.

Even as a kid I liked wagons and trucks over the popular cars of the day. It is funny when I drive my old wagon, nobody under about 40 pays it any mind.
Lots of older people have fond memories of their parents/grandparents similar cars and come check it out.
