Yeah I ordered them from trail gear here. No clue. Liked the idea of not needing two nuts jammed together to install.

I don't personally own one, but I supported them from their Kickstarter and because I shared it with an old buddy, his shop bought one for their prototyping department. They use it for making proof of concept one-off parts out of aluminum so they don't waste money on more exotic materials. It does a fantastic job albeit quite slow in comparison(if worried about finish or holding tight half thou tolerances) to a "real" machine.

Ye they seem like a cool kit, sucks they won't work for you. Bum luck with all these parts sucks

Someone else told me they bought the TG ones and had to install them with the hex head on the inside to use them because TG put it on the short side instead of the long. Not sure if that is the same issue you're seeing

Threads are ruined on that 95-00 Tacoma stud. I'll have to compare to the IFS pickup/4runner hub studs. Seems like the left stud will just top out on the dial surround.

Alrighty I was wrong, the shoulder on the LC and regular third studs are too long

    Left - LC hub stud
    Middle - third member stud
    Right - Tacoma hub stud

I'm now worried the Marlin studs won't even work. Looks like the far left is what IFS trucks/4runners, FJ80s, vans, etc. use. And they appear to be what I ordered.

Really? I've honestly never heard that... thinking about it, I'm guessing it stretches the threads in that one spot?

I've done it my entire life:anonymous:

Huh, i don't think I've ever hated it over any other method... but I cant remember if I've ever used another method, come to think of it.........I've done it so frequently I've made nut sets of some sizes where the flats line up when fully tightened, for some reason I find that makes it easier? ..............but now coming to think of something new, I usually have to remake those sets and I always thought it was cause I deformed the threads on the nut. But maybe its cause I'm actually deformity the stud?!

now I'm spiraling out of control in this mew found rabbit holeScreenshot_20220104-200635_Chrome.jpg
