Not at all... I was actually on my way to get a black OR DC another dealer had on the lot, but they sold it before I got there. My local dealer wanted MSRP+$2500 and an ETA of Jan.
On 11/13 I started my search again at dealers that were <200 miles from me. I used the online chat on the dealer's web page to contact them, and said I was looking for an off-road with a 6 foot bed in any color but red. They got right back to me right away and said they had the silver AC en route with an ETA of 11/24. They said they would have a salesman contact me for a deposit. I waited impatiently by my phone. I kept messaging them because I didn't want to get swooped again.. He finally called back for the deposit; $500 on a CC.
On 11/18 I was told the ETA was now 11/29. Then on 11/23 the ETA changed again to 11/27. I got a call on yesterday morning (11/27) and was told my truck arrived and was being cleaned up, and I could pick it up any time..
It was definitely a little stressful waiting, especially after reading some of the experiences I read about online. But, in hindsight it wasn't bad considering I got what I wanted. =) I think finding a good dealer is key, even if you have to go out of town.

Nice score catching that while it was en route to the dealer! Glad it worked out well for you. My dealer told me around 100 days, could be more or less.

Been out in our first snow for the TRD just going to town to shop at Walmart and loving this New Truck!! Then added some kick plates after I figured I needed some way to knock the snow off getting in not using the Rocker Panels! Got about $10.00 into them and they work good. They clamp onto the Seam with 4 Bar Clamps on each one. They don't stick out enough to snag getting in and out but nice to pound the Boots on!DSCF7925.jpg DSCF7920.jpg DSCF7909.jpg DSCF7910.jpg DSCF7919.jpg DSCF7914.jpg DSCF7918.jpg DSCF7915.jpg about 8 1/2 miles later you can see the Town down in that cloud a ways off still in the last picture. Makes going to town fun each time and even better going back home!

Manual transmission and no sunroof were the criteria for me, which was either celestial silver or white. Loving the silver! 60 miles on the odometer, gettin’ up there…AA7B5FAF-B309-47B6-B35C-E753D71A9530.jpg

Yes, Toyota Canada stopped selling 4X2 and 4 cylinders 2 or 3 years ago.

My Father has officially joined the 3rd generation Tacoma family! Being older and not much into all the fancy options, my dad wanted a 4cyl SR or SR5. I was able to get a good deal on a new 2022 4cyl SR5 for about 2k under MSRP. The truck came with stock steel wheels but the selling dealer had some brand new OR wheels and tires (off a custom build) that we were able to get for only $500 installed with new bolts and sensors. We were also able to keep the stock steel wheels and tires, which we can easily sell for at least $300. Anyway, the truck now has OR wheels with the new gen goodyear tires. I also has an extra set of brand new predator steps that I removed from my AG 21 Taco that was totaled back in Sept. I also upgraded the SR5 grill to the OEM OR off of my 22 Barcelona Red (BR) (which I upgraded last month to the pro grill). I also switched the taillights from my 22 BR (with the chrome) to my dad's SR5 which came with the red/black lights. This worked out perfect because the OR taillights (with the chrome) actually look good on the new silver color, and the red/black lights look better on my BR. Oh, lastly, I had an extra chrome exhaust that went on as well. Next mod will be adding some OEM black fender flares. Looking good for a fairly reasonably priced SR5 4cyl! Let the fun continue!

I’ve overused this pic on this forum but it’s the only nice pic I’ve got because the low winter sun has made all my pics look like crap. ‘22 TRD OR in CSM

They did! My car got totalled on Monday, stray semi-truck tire, was planning on waiting until 2023 to join the club, but, insurance paid out and I like the look of the 2022 and I called everywhere to see who had what, a dealership 1h30m away had this come in that morning that a customer didn't want to pick up anymore (custom order)

Kudos! I wish mine had the color matched bumper... The only chrome on my taco is the rear bumper. =/

Thanks! I had the chrome on my previous 3rd gen, which was annoying but not bad enough to justify spending $350 on aftermarket color matched bumper caps.
