Breathers?

Anyone know that these tubes are. Looks like they have breather caps.
Located on driver side next to the fuse box? Differential and trans t case breathers?

 

You got it; front diff and transfer case breathers. Rear one is on the axle and can be extended as well with some modification.

 

Is the breather for the front axle the same as the rear?

 

The rear breather looks the same but it’s not extended off the axle.

 

In function yes. They are not the same part however.

 

Do I need to extend any other breathers other than the rear axle?
Does the transmission have a breather?
And should that be extended?

 

Transmission does have one but this one doesn't extend into the cab and looks like it's behind the bell housing; not very accessible (if at all). I haven't seen anyone else attempt to extend that one.

 

I find it curious Toyota choose to extend 2 of the breathers that high up but not the other two.
