Thanks, I love my 98 but I’m about to put it up for sale. Mainly the reason for getting a newer double cab so I can take the fam and dirt bikes to the track.
The Tacoma I bought is a 17 TRD OR DCSB and has the premium audio, sunroof, auto climate control, BSM etc, but I got out of the deal today when I found the white paint peeling in a few spots and then found out it’s a whole thing! Luckily I bought it from the dealership company I work for and they’re going to send it to auction. So now I’m back on the hunt. Staying away from super white now. I really like the color tho, but not the potential for paint to peel. Hope yours stays on!

My first NEW truck ever...is treating me fantastic! I wanted the "scoop" hood and the primarily street driving suspension.

Testing out the 4X4 since Monday when our first snowfall dropped at least 1 foot of snow!

I guess you can call this an adventure.

Enjoy your truck and Happy New Year!!!

Wow! That 98’ is gonna fly from your hands when you do so! I can understand the want for extra space for the fam and toys too though. That 17’ sounds like an amazing find other than the paint flaw, I’m glad you caught it in time and I wish you the best luck on the next Tacoma hunt! I would love to see what you find next! That’s a big plus too that the dealership you work for helped you out with sending it to auction. And thanks I hope so too! I been aware of the super white paint issues for a long time thanks to TacomaWorld but heard it got resolved around 2019 thankfully. I’m confident in the paint now. My wife’s 21’ Runner has been off road sometimes already and paint has no chips and looks amazing, so I went by that haha. Keep us updated on your find!!:fingerscrossed:

I’m really happy you got to experience it and enjoy it brand new! And if the street configuration, scoop, and extras is what you aimed for then the Sport was the choice! I appreciate and love the sighting of a midnight Sport on the road, so streamlined and meannn. Wow that’s a heavy adventure right there!! Hahaha I ain’t ever even seen a pic of a Tacoma with that much snow on it, and I’m so glad you opted for 4x4 but I’m sure that was priority! I hope it worked very well in the conditions and that you are set!
