    I love to see the lack of northeast flying. My old job was like that but I’m going to have to get used to the NE with my new job.

    I closed out the year with 446 hours between both work and fun flying

    Mostly a couple of super cubs. I guess the good thing about my low hours is most are local flights with a lot of landings. A typical cub flight is 1-1.5 hours with 3-5 landings at 2-3 different grass strips. Most of my 182 time is also backcountry, so each hour of flight has a couple of landings of mixed paved runway and grass. My landings/hours ratio is pretty dang high.

    i feel for the folks who have been without power/heat up there...not a good situation

    when i lived in AK i was pretty close to the airport. it was my "job" to run over before/after the big storms and check on the planes that belonged to my ex inlaws, their neighbor and a friend as they all lived much further out. check tiedowns, sweep off the snow, etc and just sure everything was as safe as could be
