Well just as a test....you can disable Carplay/Zlink in the android settings of the HU, connect your phone only to bluetooth then make some test calls with the native phone/dialer. Honestly if that does seem to be much better (I'm afraid it will be) the only other option if you want that Carplay feel you could look into the Carlink Kit 3.0. There's been some positive feedback on it in this thread. Someone else here may have other idea's/options.

Hyper do you have the Sergey Firmware? If so you can send him pics of your truck and he will create all the images for you. Part of the package you buy.

Funny you should mention that. I was just on his facebook page and was about to ask him that question. Now I know, thank you so much!!! I'm going to be buying that firmware upgrade!

A really stupid question. My wifes Corolla uses a climate control where you can set an assigned temperature, similar to the feature on this unit. My tacoma of course only has a dial to increase/decrease temp. How does this unit allow the user to set a desired temp? Does the unit itself have a built in temp gauge to determine the temp of the air blowing into the cabin?

Joying uses Carlink 2.0 for their Android auto/carplay connection. They have the file on their firmware page. You could try loading it and see if it works

Tbh, I never use wireless android auto, only wired. Wireless drains the battery so much

I believe the way this works, whether you have a dial or assigned temp number, is depending on where you set the dial or say the assigned number 78,80 or whatever you desired your blend door would either open or close more depending on whether you wanted more or less hot or cold air.

I'm not sure if this has been asked and after reading 15 pages, I didn't see it asked.

What is the output voltage on the RCA pre-amp outputs?

Also, how many bands of EQ control is on there?

And lastly, is the sub output dedicated with its own crossover and separately controlled as well as the front and rear RCA having a separate high pass crossover?

Thank you in advance for the assistance!

So I have read this entire thread and I have a new problem (outside of trying to get my android to connect to ZlinkI still don't know what I did to actually make it work as it just started working when I went out to grab dinner after fighting with it for near 4 hours and its very finicky) my remote starter now won't work, truck starts up just fine, and then immediately shuts off.

    Yes
    1. Unknown but there is an output gain adjustment in the settings from 0-30
    2. Eq = 16
    3. Sub yes and there is a dedicated bass boost menu that allows you to select the freq and gain. Yes high and low x overs too

Curious if this works better than zlink. From joying's site. I don't see why it wouldn't tbh

    Car-link 2.0 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RlAQp2NsM2cWhGHIqAfhMAoIjJG8eBoL/view?usp=sharing

Adding the Power Amp EQ app helped control the music and added better control of Highs/Mids/Lows. It basically works in conjunction with the HU equalizer.

So the polarization on these screen are the wrong way. If you use polarized sunglasses the screen goes black...tilt head screen works. Not ideal. :/

I am definitely waiting on a purchase of this unit. Seems nobody installs without finding a new issue. The price of this should be lower base on these, they are high tech, but to many setup issues right now.

Yeah, I sorta agree but the look was exactly what I wanted and since I got it installed I've had very few issues once I got the bugs worked out (I still don't know that I did that fixed my issues but it works.) The sound is better than my old ass stock unit using the Toyota installed Bluetooth from 2009, install it's self was easy and not nearly as complicated as it looks. Set up was a bit finicky but customer service has been good. Overall I'm mostly happy with it though the issue with the polarization is annoying it's not a deal breaker. Im reaching out to them today about this just cause I like the idea, layout and even general execution of the product just the small details need work. Like any first gen product its got some bugs/issues.

Question regarding the rear camera. I understand that when in reverse the rear camera is engaged, but if using the Car Monitor button within the apps window and selecting rear camera will it stay on even when driving? I want to be able to monitor my bbq smoker trailer when towing it.
