How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Yeah, I wish they would too. Then when they finally "allocate" what you are looking for they tack on 5K + to the MSRP and an additional destination charge so after all that plus tax, license, registration my 33,000.00 "build and price" truck would have been over 42,000.00. No thanks

 

My MSRP was 45K

 

I'm at 42143.
That is with the tonneau, predator steps, tailgate insert, mud flaps, LEDs, tech pack and... premium paint.

I'm really not sure about the steps, it's the one thing it is coming with that I just dont care for. Scrapped the set off my Pathfinder.

 

if they tack on an additional 5 K for more fees out here in the east, i will walk away and buy another brand of truck and give all the mods i purchased away to my cousin for free...

 

I factory ordered a Ford Ranger back in September and last week when I still didn't get a build date I went to Carvana and got the Tacoma I wanted in three days. I've been dicking around with dealers since June, glad that mess is over with.

 

I only buy new, i will continue to drive my present Tacoma , if the deal falls through and walk away from this dealership my wife and son agree too, My wife wants a landrover she'll trade in camry in , with no problems at all.

 

I was told that my requested TRD Pro M/T would probably hit $55k out the door. That's a little steep in my opinion.

Interestingly, regarding allocations, I called another dealership here and they flat out told me that they don't take allocation requests or deposits. A 3rd dealership didn't seem to understand the process - in fact - the salesperson hadn't even "heard" of the Electric Lime Green TRD Pro yet...

At this point, I'm partly convinced that I may never even see the truck. LOL

 

Mine msrp is $42,848 with Preimium package and advanced tech, the MT looks to be about $2k cheaper. I have been toying with the idea of trading my wifes car in and just got some online quotes, it's coming in $8k over what we paid for in 4/20, CRAZY!

Seriously. ELG TRD Pro is all over the social media marketing.

 

No idea. Between those 2 dealerships, I ended up both surprised and disappointed. I know more than they do just from Toyota's site and TW.

 

If you don't mind me asking which dealers? I'm at Towne Toyota in North New Jersey. Salesman is a customer of mine at the local RC shop, my buddy also bought his 21 4runner TS from him.

 

Not a problem -

• My dealer who was VERY helpful and had no problem taking a deposit for the allocation request and has been in contact to tell me "not yet" is Gateway Toyota (part of Penske Auto Group) in Toms River in The Jersey Shore.
• The dealer who wouldn't accept a deposit or do an allocation request for *any* vehicle is Toyota World of Lakewood in Lakewood, NJ.
• The uninformed salesperson was at Glenn Toyota (part of Lester Glenn Auto Group) also in Toms River.

 

That is not crazy all, trade in her car, get her the new Tacoma, she will be thrilled.

 

Maybe I should give them a call and put in a request there, too... especially if we wouldn't be duplicating requests.

 

Pretty sure Toyota world is up here as well, big highway store. I typically here negative things, then again you rarely hear about the good anymore. Glenn sounds like a smaller store, similar to Towne in Ledgewood. I worked in parts at Toyota of Morristown back around 2004, when Towne was a sub dealer.

I mean, cannot hurt. Call and ask for Marco or Matt.

My Dealership is ( Balise Toyota in West Springfield, Massachusetts. ) They had no problem taking my money for the special order allocation or whatever they won't to call it. Now it is a game of hurry up and wait for it, especially when I am told they are working to get my order in with their Toyota Rep. They say it may not even get ordered or allocated until April which is Nuts.

 

Considering myself lucky, one that came very close to what I wanted was already allocated.

 

Me too, we got exactly what we wanted options wise after my dealer tole me 3-6 months for premium MT. We did have to take White which was out 3rd choice color, we wanted Lunar or MGM.
