That looks good. I’ve been debating on leaving mine bc it matches some of the other grey trim. I do want to see if I can fix my panel pieces because they squeak/creak when I press them.

Dumb ? But what is to keep your airbag/horn from deploying once you hook the negative cable back on.

Thanks! It’s a SnugTop XTR Gen 2. However, I think SnugTop discontinued it recently.

It takes a direct electrical impulse to the airbag to deploy it. If it would go off just by connecting a battery cable, you could never change your battery without disconnecting the airbag. The reason you remove the negative cable is to eliminate the possibility of inadvertently shorting the wires to the airbag as you are moving it. And, actually, it's a good idea to disconnect the battery anytime you are working on something related to the electrical system in your truck - that way you don't fry anything by mistake.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Pretty cool set-up. Would love to see some pics of your final install.

Question: Watched the entire video review on the head unit. They never touched on vehicle settings. Are you still able to go in and access all the features for the truck set up like we are able to do with OEM head units? I can't remember what functions exactly we need access to but I recall lots of truck specific functions that allow customization and what not. Is that all there and accessible?

EDIT: iDataLink! Answered my question on Critchfield's site in a heart beat.

I have never had a problem with mice or any other critters. Must be the abundance of stray cats wandering the neighborhood.

    NICE!!

Makes me feel I don't drive my truck enough. Almost 6 years in and just hit 52k over the holidays. Working from home doesn't get many miles.

Thanks for that! I’m learning all about the truck. Making it a mission to install everything myself, even the lift kit. Heard it’s not terribly difficult

That's a horrible idea. What time?
It's a rare day when it doesn't move. And I commute with it, although that will be changing in the near future with some remote work coming my way.

My .02, take extra caution around the airbags, and be careful with the little plastic covers on the grab handle when you remove the passenger side A-Pillar. The tabs will bend and not return to shape if not careful.
