have a set of gas springs that I bought for a DIY project. When I purchased them, I fat fingered the wrong part number and when I received them they were too long from my application.

These are brand new and they are rated to 90 lbs each.

The extended length is 19.63" and the stroke is 7". See drawing below for more details.

I paid $50 for the pair including taxes and shipping.

Will let them go for $35 shipping included.

Payment through Venmo or Paypal (family/friends).

They're good for literally any project with a hinge and you want assistance in opening said hinge.

I had to buy new struts for my trailer when I replaced the RTT with a heavier model and the old struts were too weak to keep it open.

You could always send them back for an exchange.

Call the vendor. There could be a simple path to the part you want.

A storage box for the bed. But like mentioned in other post, these can be used for literally anything. Anything you want gas strut assist.

I did. But I would have to pay the shipping back plus a 20% restock fee. So not worth it.

No, it was professionally built by a trailer company in CA. I picked it up from the original owner and then made some modifications to it myself.

    • swapped hubs to Toyota 6x139.7 bolt pattern
    • replaced tired Mombasa tent with a CVT Rainier Summit
    • replaced struts to support larger RTT
    • Swapped wheels and tires for wheels and tires that match my truck
      • Initially had T4R 17" graphite wheels with 265/70/17 KO2's
      • Now has SCS Ray10 gunmetal wheels with 255/80/17 Nitto RG's
That's the major items for now. I still plan to add stabilizing jacks and raise the tent (weld a taller rack) so I can place my kayak below when towing. I also need to fix the fenders, as I had to cut them out to accommodate the 33" tires. I'm either going to clean up the cut and live with it, or widen the fenders.

I'm not big on taking photos of everything, so I don't have any photos of it, since adding 33's. But here it is previous to that...

Sorry OP, at least this is a free bump.

The uses for gas struts are endless, just need to have some imagination.

No worries. I enjoy seeing all kind of different builds.
