I've got a '21 Tacoma with the JBL Speaker and I'm always paranoid about blowing some speakers so I keep it pretty quiet most of the time. I'm just curious if anyone has a good sound level recommendation to blowing a speaker (I've never maxed it our so I don't even know what it goes to but the most I've done is probably like 40ish).

To give you an idea of where I am coming from: my previous trucks were amazing! Both had some aftermarket speakers in them (nothing special, but better than stock - and installed previous to my ownership). But both came with a speaker already blown and I never fixed either of them.

I have the jbl and can assure you they don’t go nearly loud enough to blow up. I think a hamster can make more noise than this system. :(

I've had my 20 JBL up to Max vol, no issues.
If they blow, it will give me an excuse to upgrade though. :)

I agree. I've had mine at max volume with no issues. I would not hesitate to crank it up.

Don't push it. Your ears will thank you later in life.

I have a 2020 with JBL's and my son just blew out the right speaker. I think the genre of music may contribute to the damage but I am not an expert. I bought it pre-certified so I will see if it is covered under warranty.
