I really like the GL Core skeletonized stock on my one rifle. Light, doesn’t rattle, nicely angled but pad I don’t have a pic will see if I can get one tonight. I actually thought about replacing my Larue stock with one but it’s also comfortable and I like it has a cleaning rod inside of course that’s an option also.

Despite the fact that myth has been busted multiple times over the issue is short stroke with the bolt failing to go all the way to the rear clearly captured in the slo mo video sent to them. They gave me the ctrl alt delete. To me logic would dictate that adding a longer spring and heavier buffer would make the problem worse not better.

I have always used Magpul stocks, so I was leaning towards the new PRS Lite. I'm not set on any though, so I will do some reading/pic looking and figure it out :D

Coming into the middle of the convo here, but is the gas block lined up appropriately with the hole in the barrel?

If you fire it with one round in mag, does BHO?

And none of your brass has these markings?
(Not headstamp, round circle or chips on rim)

If the gun is already undergassed, an adjustable gas block won't really help will it? Those are designed to restrict gas more....not allow more than a fixed open block

I've made dozens of ARs. Not a single one has ever been under gassed.

I’m not sure what myth you’re referring too or what video you’re referencing or made.

You can play with spring lengths or spring rate, but again, it’s a tuning thing and usually not critical if you are using quality system in the first place. The only reason to play with spring and buffer is to increase dwell time, as I said, if you’re starting off with the proper spring and a standard buffer.

Ar-10s are finicky enough, I’ve seen people try to use ar15 buffers not knowing ar10 buffers are shorter, causing reliability issues. It’s starts with having the proper buffer system.

    Yeah, this.

A screen shot of a gopro video won't provide much diagnostic assistance.

My M5 enhanced upper should be here Tuesday. I'm still not sure on what length barrel. In all honesty, I will never get out past a few hundred yards. At the very most, I'd imagine 600 yards would be it. Will a 16" or 18" better suit those needs?

I am still leaning toward an 18" barrell which is, I believe, the shortest I can g with a rifle length gas system.

Aero has the M5 enhanced FDE uppers on the blem list now also, of course after I ordered a black one.

I'm glad, cause I would have been tempted to buy your black one and build a 6.5 Creedmoor upper.............which I absolutely don't need

Either would be fine. 2" is maybe <75 fps so pretty negligible. It's more about the gas system. Do you want mid-length or rifle system? Personally I prefer rifle-length for 308 so at least 18"+

There's manufacturers that make rifle-length systems for 16" barrels but I'm not too familiar with them. Lots of people use mid-length just fine too though. It's more personal preference and what you expect to use the rifle for.

I don't really have a need/want for this rifle. I honestly got it just because I wanted to build one, it was on sale for BF, and I like to pretend I'm an "operator"
Seems like an 18" will be more than perfect for my needs/wants.

If you want to larp around as an operator, than add 2 inches and suppressor to the barrel at a minimum and don’t let you optic budget fall below $3000. MRAD only.

Also, you’ll need a kac or LMT to be high speed low drag at your 200y line. Although the only time your fall out of your PBR will be around 600y for a about headshot. :anonymous:

Ok so i hve a 15" handguard coming I am assuming a 18" barrel with a rifle length system the gas block should still fit under the handguard?
