I'm not saying the set screws are tight. But my snap on Allen did become a snap off. E98C48E5-60AA-43FB-A22D-A3C5DC6E8D61.jpg

One of those jobs that just keeps getting better... :annoyed:

I worked in a place that most of the equipment was Allen heads, we found the Bondhus brand wrenches to last better than any others we tried.

I've gotten my money back already from how many snap on allen wrenches/socket allens I've had break and replaced for free. Definitely one of the better "buy once cry once" tools in my line of work.

Back together and ready to be forgotten about until it explodes again. Time to punch this clock and head home. Cheers! B173A8CB-578C-4384-8E41-1CBE66F8816B.jpg

And it feels damn good doesn't it!

One year ago yesterday at 6:15 am I was giving my notice -- by the end of the month they were starting to realize that I took care of a few (100) little things they previously didn't think were important.

Just got back from the body shop... not official yet, but the estimator figures the frame is tweaked, box, tail-gate, and rear bumper assembly are shot, cab is dented... probably a write-off!

Yeah, the thought of "man, if I mess up or slip right now..." occurs on almost a daily basis.

If it is written off, then the first thing I do will be to slap in an order for a '22...

When I was in the fd we had a guy with a prosthetic leg from a corn picker accident, years later he got off the tractor with the round baler still turning, the tractor stared rolling and he went after it, his leg came off and through the baler he went. I remember it like it was yesterday and it was 25+years ago. Awful.

Looks great, too bad you can’t fix it right but at least it’s turning again.

To me, I would consider that a blessing. I'd much rather have a new one.
Not sure about what the rest of you think but unless your talking a 30k dollar custom paint job, no body shop will ever match the quality of factory paint. Then possible dents that need pulled and bondo up.
I just feel strongly about that. I know sometimes factory paint goes bad too though. Some early to mid 80's paint was horrible but I think they got that worked out. Now if you look on here TW see threads about the super white recently.
4 decent body shop repair bills in the last 21 years, I found all work but one to be substandard. That one shop that did a good job, that guy retired and son runs it now. Took my kids car in for repair and I'm not exaggerating when I say finished with a cheese grater and paint applied.
