Isn't that the point of heated mirrors? That you don't have to scrape the ice off? Mine heat the whole thing and then I brush it off

Based on all the horror stories I've read about the tacos electrical system it's best to disconnect the battery when working on any electrical. I read on here about a guy who fried the whole board in that assembly that houses the map lights by trying to do it hot.

I did not when I swapped bulbs (Amazon LED), but the Dome swap is more than just a bulb swap I think.

My bad I did not read that right and he's just doing the dome light. I would still disconnect the battery any little arc and there's potential for weird problems to happen. Better safe than sorry.

This is a pic of the two RAV4 knobs I got for my truck - one with the center piece removed and the other still in. The piece removes easily just by pulling on it.

I've only disconnected the battery twice, once when I did the Subaru tweeter upgrade and again when I upgraded the turn signal / light switch stalk in the steering column. Both times because I working around the air bags. I've done other electrical upgrades like all interior lights to LED's and tailgate power lock upgrade and didn't disconnect the battery. But you are right, better safe than sorry. Those ECU's are expensive.

Not to exciting, but installed my
VINTAGE HUTCHINS AH-OOO-GA FORD MODEL T A V8 AHOOGA OOGA HORN.
And installed a third led strip under the rear of the truck, they come on with the dome light so it lights up when you walk up to the truck if you have the keys.

Ok so this meso/ajt ring is literally a pain in the ass. There isn’t as much tension between lo-4hi but it doesn’t seem to be throwing any codes anymore. Was everyone else’s 4x4 switch loose between lo-4hi?
