    Good warranty at least.
I keep those hammer style impacts handy for a lot of things. Also something seems extremely stubborn, a wrench on that hex, nice and close to the fastener as you can get it.
You may very well know all these things but I like to share knowledge.

Did you get where you needed to go with this?
I had no cell service most of the day at work.

The lady that works for us some came in today at 4 so I could take baby G to her hip hop class, we were in the parking lot and I said let’s send mom a picture. She said it was her beard

Naw.. I spent all day at work today and again tomorrow but I'll get back after it this weekend.

I am wondering if a fly cutter would work better in the mill for what I'm doing.

I thought of a fly cutter when I seen the pictures earlier. So much though is in set up of your work piece. Always need parts as ridged as possible when setting up. Like the picture of that large piece of aluminum in the mill that didn't get finished. I would have clamped the area where I was milling in the vice or at a minimum have some jacks underneath it way out there. It's also convenient if you have 2 precision vise like Kurt, that you can use 2 if needed.
On those small aluminum strip, if they weren't directly clamped in a vise near there, then clamp them together.
Edit; like a C-clamp holding the pieces together, if you can get one on there below depth of cut of course.

Mixed feelings... i REALLY liked that truck. Plus, there's the cost differential; since it was >3 years old (by four months!), it no longer qualifies for replacement, meaning I'll get book value for an '18 DCLB Sport, and the >$10K difference to the replacement comes out of my wallet. The only way around that would be to sue the guy that hit me, and (a) he really didn't do anything wrong; the road had a flash freeze and he lost control; and (b) is it worth it by the time I deal with all that shit?

Yeah, that's a crappy deal, no 2 ways about it.
My wife tried to sue the guy that was driving North bound in the South bound lanes (4th DWI) of highway that totaled my son's car. I try to tell her a waste of time. Tried.
I'm not a expert on the subject but you may be able to get more than what you think out of insurance.
I would hope so. 10k be tough to stomach for sure, especially retired n all.

Yes.. I likely rushed the set up to see what I could do.. and definitely rushed the second set up after I got the second set ready to go.

Definitely have to slow down. I like the two vise set up idea. The other ideas as well.

    Thank you all !

I literally just texted a friend about how the FD has given me some of the darkest times in my life but also some of the biggest smiles too.

When I was apprentice this ol feller always used to tell me SLOW DOWN....SPEED KILLS
Just partial with that cutter as well; if it's 1" end mill then take a smaller bite. WD-40 is your friend when cutting aluminum. Depth of cut too, start out slow, take a 1/16" depth of cut until you get a feel for it.
You have X,Y, and Z axis, keep the axis direction you AREN'T feeding tight. Also look up climb milling vs conventional milling. No climb milling unless your on a machine that has ball screws, like CNC stuff

It definitely has its highs and lows. Keep up the good work and take the bad along with it :fistbump:

Just took a shower, daughter knocks on door (we only have 1 bathroom, she’s 6). I said yeah? She came in and put a lady bug in the toilet.

    Me: what are you doing?
    Her: watching it swim.
    Me: you gonna flush it?
Her: yeah, you don’t want that one flying around the house…..or getting on your tenders

She got that from the kungfu panda movie when he got kicked between the legs, that’s what he calls them
