Joying Head Unit - 2nd Gen/JBL Steering Wheel Controls

Anyone that's installed on of these units, is there some kind of trick to getting the steering wheel controls working? I went to the settings menu on the head unit and held down the buttons on the wheel as the menu advised, but saw no recognition on the unit to tell me that the input was received.

 

We need more info than that

2010 TRD Sport/JBL. If there's anything more specific than that, I don't know the options. Here's a picture of the back of the stock head unit.

OP: Maybe you got this resolved, but to get the SWC control to work on your specific set up, you need to connect CAN OUT plugged into KEY, then program the buttons within the settings.

how??????????? can you show pics of connections? I have 1 key-1 and 1 key-2, dont see how to connect them to anything. thanks

 

Oh as I recall it was key 1 to CAN OUT. Sorry I do not have any pics of it.
