As much as I want to see what they change for the 23, cuz I'm assuming it'll be different judging by the tundra, I'd get the 22. I did actually .

I've had a first year model before. Never again.

Not even close, IMHO, but it looks a ton better than the Dakota twin for that generation.

I would not wait for the 4th gen cause I think they will do away with the 6 cylinder. I am not a fan of turbos.

Get the 4th gen because hopefully Toyota will build a configuration and call it the Electric Trail.

If you're waiting that long, might as well wait for the 2024 redesign! If not, 2022 :burnrubber:

I’m not afraid of a first year vehicle although my taco is a 17. My wife’s Prius C is a first year and the blogs back then where full of doom and gloom, we bought it anyway and ten years later and over 90k on the odometer we haven’t had any problems at all. Buy what makes you happy and don’t overthink it.

Seriously doubt prices will go down in the next year. There's plenty of analysis that says it might be 2 years before prices go down. You can bet dealers aren't going to rush to go back to haggling. I'd get the gen3 as it has been around and most of the bugs are worked out.

Dealers are going to realize they no longer need to move volume to make money... No more discounted financing; no more haggling; no more fighting for customers. They'll be able to move fewer units at a higher markup with less paperwork, and probably make even more. This will go for the used market, too.

Rudy Russo is no longer going to have to bait customers with a $10 bill and a fishing pole... $50 will no longer kill anybody...

And I even think this event will change consumer habits over time...

    A few.
With being able to sell vehicles at msrp or above, i wouldnt think manufacturers will have a problem offering 0% financing to get more sales instead of rebates.

Those were available as an option as you know. But you decide to buy a car without that option and then bitch you don't have them? That's 100% on you.

Not bitching about the car I got. It’s a blast.

I used that example as the reason why I wouldn’t buy a first MY vehicle again.

You obviously don’t know the history of options and packages with this particular vehicle so you might want to consider not spewing off about something you know shit about.

I 100% know the history of the Track Pack option on the 350 and the lawsuit that followed. I have no sympathy for someone that didn't get the Track Pack option and then bitched when it overheated on the track.

Not knocking the 350 by the way, I love them. And I also know your pain of buying a new Mustang to only have the next year be much better. I bought an 01 Cobra new and then right after that Ford dropped the 03.

I was also waiting out for the 2023, but then my car got totaled by a stray semi-truck tire.

Got a 2022 TRD Off-Road on Monday and I love it. Got more for my totaled car than I would have had sold it for. Worked out. Couldn't be happier.
