Not alot biting, but the area was great! We drove about a hour offroad to find a hidden beach area. My brother has a jeep trailhawk, it did pretty good on the offroad trails, but holy crap does the adjustable height suspension make alot of noise. He had to jack it all the way up, so it just sounded like someone banging on the side of the truck for the whole trip.

 

Ah that sucks about the action. But atleast you got to check out some of the area and do a bit of sketchy wheeling haha

 

Been thinking a lot lately about these "speaking fees" everyone seems to be using to stack raxx on raxx (which have always been an insultingly obvious pretense to grease palms.)

If you make, say, $200k/yr from your government job; and you make something like $1m in speaking fees that same year... do you really work for The People?

Sure, anyone can moonlight and that's not an issue. When income from your hobby surpasses employment compensation it seems like maybe you're not really focusing on the job; which is a big problem when that job is something like, I don't know... leading market regulation and enforcement agencies?

But that's none of my business.

 

It's the only thing keeping me afloat...Titanic is sinking but the $VET dinghy keeps chugging along..

It's almost like commodities like oil will continue to gain value as inflation rises?

The wheeling was pretty good, but now I need to bring my truck down there next time. I can wheel with that to show my family how a real suspension does it, but also I can bring more fishing gear and maybe some kayaks.
