Can someone give me examples of why these are necessary? What for? how? Maybe I am missing something. Thanks

Same here, was looking last week at replaceing the flat, hollow core doors upstairs to match vintage style of downstairs but that's not going to happen.

Adding a second switch without running wires is really nice. I'm not sure why you need to control the lights from your phone...

I think these are the instructions (I think); I am now a little more confused as to why...

OH I see, I was thinking if you already have two (or three) switches for a hall, why need this?

But if someone did something odd or added on or whatever, you can add a switch the remotely control the original switch. Nice. The second one, runs on battery(?)

See my post about them below. Convenience of a 3 way switch without opening the wall or pulling a single wire.

Awesome. Thanks - missed that post completely back then. Even answered my question about batteries.

The more I stew on it, I have a couple spots for these switches! Garage (main light has only one), dining (stupido location and two would be nice). Thanks guys.

I agree with all of that....but god damn their switches are ugly & tough to use by feel alone.

Nice work, especially matching that god-awful texture (I hate that shit).

Texture sucks but it's used because level 4 smooth wall is really hard to do. So they came up with doing level 3, hell sometimes even level 2, then just spraying a knockdown on it. Makes even the shittiest drywallers look good. lol

Thanks! It is a pain in the ass when cutting in when painting. I mean I understand why they do it. It saves a ton of time finishing drywall during construction. But yeah it sucks for the end user

thanks! I practiced a bit where the mirror will be. Hidden spot! But also practiced on a piece of cardboard

Thanks for mentioning this - I designed one through them and ordered it. I'm going 8x16 and am going to have them do it in March when the snow is gone. I got it to match the house almost exactly - ranch style, gray roof, similar colors and accents.

I put the second set of double doors off to the side so I can get the ATV in without needing to take the lawn tractor out first. Most are designed with doors centered on the eave end which is probably better looking but less practical.

Ended up being in the low $8k range with tax and everything and like you said their customer service has been awesome.

Nice. I kinda "blew" the color selection. I can't remember what TS calls it, but what I thought was closest to our house color, turns out to have way way more green than our off brown house. Really not a worry. Turns out wife didn't want it to match the house and she is happy with it. Odd, random....blue moon occurrence!:fistbump:
