I don't know why I continue to beat my head against a wall, I guess its just the principal of the thing. I, along with many others on here, have tried to explain the science behind the theory, and yet many of you continue to either ignore it or just out right refuse to listen to it. Your quote above is the stereotypical ignorant response toward evolution. At no point in time did anybody EVER say "monkeys became people". All life on earth today changed from what it started as....just look at drug-resistant bacteria, horses, whales, countless other examples. Unless the organism has an extremely short life span, like bacteria, you cannot SEE evolution occurring. If it was somehow possible to jump ahead in time a few hundred thousand years the world you know today wouldn't exist, it will change along with all the life on it. And guess what? We WON'T be here forever. Maybe a few million years, maybe a few hundred million, but eventually we will go the way of the dinosaurs.

For the 100th time, homo sapiens did not evolve from monkeys. We had common ancestors. When you misstate what evolution says, then argue against your own misconception you have proved nothing but your own ignorance.

Thousands of species evolved to much there present form long before homo sapiens. Evolutionary change by natural selection takes a very long time. Change by artificial selection, breeding, is much quicker and has been demonstrated in your life time, over and over.

Thanks, to the two above me! Yes, it's frustrating...

you know the other difference between the folks that support creatinism or evolution?

The evolution folks are willing to listen to alternative theories, if they can be supported.

    You don't want to know...
I understand what your saying, and yes it is a extremely common misconception that people have of evolution that we evolved from monkeys.

My comment was more out of boredom when I should have been asleep ;).

I also understand your frustration, as we both know (and its been stated here many time by both sides) there is no, without a reasonable doubt, evidence to support either creation or evolution... and it sucks.

I will admit, I'm not up on the current theories of evolution. Honestly its hard to keep up with. It seems like every day there is a different theory on how we evolved, how old the world is, how old man is... The list goes on.
If you watch 100 discovery channel shows, you'll hear 100 different theories and numbers.

That's fine. We don't have documented history from a million years ago, so I don't expect anyone to have a 100% solid answer on evolution.

What I don't understand is how science can claim anything changed species. Where is the evidence?

I don't mean evolving in ones own species. Of course that's everywhere. Its well known that when cells reproduce their DNA structure changes a little, if it didn't, we would all look identical and would probably never die.

So where is the full fledged macro-evolution? One species changing into another species?

To my knowledge there is no tangible evidence of macro-evolution. Its all just a theory.

    Am I correct?

If I'm not, could someone please point me to a article, preferably with actual scientific details and pictures showing and explaining the original species and the steps it took in changing to another species...

And I'm not talking computer generated examples of what some guy thinks this creature (of which there is no solid evidence it even existed) would have look like. I want to see something that I could hold in my own hands.

Do your own research. People will only research that which they agree with to SUPPORT THEIR claims according to their beliefs then poke holes in the citations of those who disagree so why bother?

My links will not be credible to you...Yours won't to me. Thats why it's called theory and not fact.

Belief in theory as fact is little more than "faith" in theoretical ideas based on incomplete science. Sort of likr those who believe in Creationism....hmmmmm

And yes I have faith electricity can harm and do good....just as I do in Creation. It all depends on where one places their faith..

In men or God... It really is that simple. I have seen man's "works'.....and I see God's works everyday when I look out my back window....

I simply don't believe that was a chance accident...and not intelligent design not discounting evolutionary forces but not placing all my faith in them either

and that proves there is no God? Not sure i see the coorelation.

I cannot "see" electricity but I see the results. I cannot "see" God but I see the results.

you erroneously assume all things from God in my view are "good" They are only things I do not yet understand, nothing more or less. Men know far less then there is to know about everything. News?

No, the pictures don't. And I don't assume anything. And you can see electricity.
