A long and interesting story but I wound up with this transmission from this article and got Pat Barrett to rebuild it. The stall speed had been increased by around 500 RPM. It had been passed around a couple of times. It's still going strong. It's kind of cool that it's good for drag racing but still has the top end once the TQ locks up.
