So I just got off the phone with Aero. I placed 2 orders on the 23rd. They have been stuck in Calvert City KY since the 30th, FedEx has been no help. Aero put in a request to FedEx and told me that they'd make sure I got my stuff.....even if FedEx tells them it was lost.

Not dismissing your issue b/c that email response was weak, but maybe a phone call will bring better help?

 

Ehh I'm fixing it on my own. The whole point of that was to share the lazy response from Aero considering i gave them way more detailed info including a slo mo video of the bolt short stroking Plus pics of chamber and gas block. Wasnt to have the forum solve the problem.

 

I get that and agree with the email response was a bad one. Hell, I wouldn't have been any help cause I don't know shit about them

I was just letting you know that a phone called worked well for me.

 

Its plausible the gas block was rotated 1-2 degrees off center causing a partial obstruction of the port that's the only thing that would explain undergassing issue. If it's over gassed then my friends are bringing heavy ar10 buffer to the range to try if that's not enough then adj gas block will sort out over gassed issue. I'm going to trouble shoot the factory gas block first just because I want to figure this out before I put adj gas block on. Mainly cause I just want to know what it was.

If it's still undergassed then I'll call Aero because that's a them manufacturing issue.

Prob gonna be a few weeks as looking like wife has the rona so that means I'm a day or two away from having it myself

 

Start drinking lots of fluids, and take a daily supplement of 50mg Zinc, 1000mg Vitamin C and 5000iu of Vitamin D3. Low-dose aspirin also helps if you start feeling symptoms. It's a good protocol for your wife as well.

 

Gas block and gas tube holes are 2x the size of barrel gas hole. The block would need to be ridiculously cockeyed to cause a problem.

Heavier buffer won't do anything to fix overgas because it does nothing to increase dwell time. It might keep the BCG from running to far back, but BCG is still going to be trying to rip the case from chamber before gas pressure goes down. And you'll still have ejector swipes and extractor claw marks if you had them before.

If you fire with one round in mag and bolt holds open, it's not under gassed. To adjust gas block, just close it all the way and open incrementally until bolt just holds open on empty mag. Should take 3 rounds, max.

 

I, at least, appreciate you sharing the issues. I am like a sponge with this stuff soaking up info in case I need it to help myself in the future.

Everything I have ordered looks like it made it to the shipping terminals the beginning of the week but no progression since then. Pre Christmas I got the slow shipping but now I don't particularly understand

 

this. I have at least 3 orders that are stuck in shipping purgatory, regardless of shipper.

15? That's too long an interval, you need to shorten that time otherwise you might miss something.

Yep I have stuff comming via USPS, FEDeX, and IDk who OP is shipping through. Everything just looks in limbo. 2 are scheduled for delivery next Tuesday, one next Thursday, and the other I will be suprised if any make it when scheduled
