Roof rack (probably one from uptop overland) and side lighting to start. We go to NH a lot to the farm and need the extra cargo space. I also find myself doing more and more work (especially this time of the year) in the dark. The bed plug has already been a win setting up work lights.

Really appreciate the offer for help, would gladly put a keg in the kegorator should we do any work.

I have done installs on wiring lights, suspensions, bumpers, and roof racks. I actually installs 3 uptop overland roof racks in the past. We most certainly can work something out. A shop is going to cost you $100 an hour. We can do it on the cheap.

Got home and I'm looking over the harness. I'll be looking through wiring diagrams and this harness in the next couple days.
Good thing this stuff is easy for me.

The new harness is for a 2014 Tacoma, I have a 2012. The harness for my truck isn't available so I found this or another one for a 2015.
I was also looking at ext. cab harnesses but there were too many differences (mainly SRS) that I didn't want to go that route.
The 2014 harness was cheaper than the 2015 and there were more available so I ordered it.

One big plus is that it will plug right into my 2015 navigation head unit
I still have to run a couple wires however.

Sounds like a lot of the heavy lifting is done at least, I can't imagine there being huge differences between the gen 2.5 harnesses

Subtle differences, this harness has the connector for the USB/AUX jack, now I don't have to use the adapter cable I've been using.

I still need to run wire for the steering wheel controls and I think that's it. If that's the case, nice
