That unit is about a year and a half old, a 72 year old man and I put it in. I did what he said. He’s been back to work on it 4 times, hasn’t sent me a bill yet. I’ve ask him 6 times

Slow time of the year! gotta pay for the Christmas shopping.

Then it might be the We don`t want to mess with this Job price

But if you cough up the money be foolish not to.

I had a torch Guy years ago that could burn that you would never know it was by hand.

If I had not seen it done several times I would say no way.

Same thing I say about buying a new vehicle. I know they need to make money to keep the lights on. But they don't need to make it all off of me.

How many other places do you have that you can get prices from?

Oweing somebody a favor like this always scares me. I'd rather pay my way and us be square than me not pay, have you come back a year later to collect on that favor, like helping move your niece's whole house and me feel obligated-to some extent.

How about a shop with wire EDM ?
I know the hassle of it but still think if you had a Marvel saw you could cut much of the bulk material away and do it on your CNC mill. Unless you had other work going on. And I do recall your shop being down a hand.

Why not cut 4-5 out of 1/4" on the plasma, then stack them together?

I did it with my mini skid steer grapple and it worked great.

It could be the “we’re covered up and don’t want to mess with it” price. Boss said lead time from them was 2-3 weeks.

I thought about having 4 plasma cut out of 3/4”, and may have too.

On the other hand I told the guy I’m doing the job for the $1,600 price as a heads up. He may come back and say that’s fine. He may need a tax write off, they have a large landscape/mulch operation.

    School is cancelled for tomorrow.

    Reason?

It's going to be too cold.
