Not sure if there is anything diffrent. The front is literally like putting a bikstien 5100 lift in and the back is a block and extended shock. It is no diffrent then the bilstien setup I put on my Fj. I went with factory lift for warranty issues and I am old and tired and did not want to do it lol.
As far as your lift you could get a bilstien set up way cheaper off Amazon literally a couple hundred. Then order nice quality progressive rear leafs and I personnaly would add an airbag setup for towing with onboard compressor.

Dealer called and I should pick up my 22 sr5 on fri, with the dealer installed lift. 2500.00 parts and labor for the lift. Probably could have done it for less but at 63 crawling around under my truck just aint fun anymore, and having it all under warranty is worth it

Curious, did you end up replacing your shims with a different style of fab a block with built in angle?

No real updates with our stock height trucks vibes other than the dealer looked at it, acknowledged the truck vibrated (in writing on the ticket) but said the TSB doesn't apply to 2022s yet and they drove two other trucks on the lot and they also vibrated exactly the same so deemed it normal for now, until the TSB expands to 2022s (maybe). The dealer did find the drums were warped and fixed that so it's smoother in braking situations.

I can say that the truck's vibes are almost non-existent with weight added both with 2 passengers added or my dirt bike on a hitch rack. I have been stuck deciding what to do. The TSB does mention both standard or stiff springs (not sure which ones are on this truck) and still don't know why some stock trucks seem to have shims and some don't. I've also heard from some people that said just installing some 265/70-17s and wider offset wheels took the vibes away. So where should I go with this?

I could measure the angles but it's stock height so what's the point? I guess just to know. Maybe a good course of action is to measure just to see. Install a carrier bearing drop strictly as an experiment since it's cheap and easy. See what that does. Next, remove the CB drop and install 1 degree shims. See how it drives with all of this....

I ordered a 2 degree tapered rear shim and based on my measurements it should put me where I need to be. Still have to install it. I’ll post up once done! (I only drive like 25 miles a week so it’s not a high priority over the holiday haha).

Although grossly overpriced, I do like the ride (feels very similar to the ride on my '05's setup with 5100's @ 1.75"), and I think it's a perfect amount of lift.

The dealer left my fogs, and original grill on request. Rough total between lift, and install was ~$1700. Got the kit for ~$1150, and the install was ~$550. The kit itself is overpriced for what you get, but all in, a bargain compared to some of the prices I've seen in this thread. The install was done @ Toyota of Nashua. Came in right at the quote they gave me (4-5 hours of labor, as the kit suggests). Pretty happy with those guys so far.

Wow ripoff city… Toyota in reno wants $3356 Out the door installed for the lift… quoting 7.5 hrs of labor! Local shop said 4hrs is the most they would need and that includes the alignment time. I can buy this lift for $1183 shipped no taxes from select places out of state. They also refused to price match the lift cost.

They also said if an independent shop does the install and the needle bearing craps out it won’t be covered by the factory warranty (which I think is petty… ).

So I’m going to just have an aftermarket lift installed which I prefer anyways for better performance and ecgs at the same time.

hope this helps others, if u are even thinking of doing a lift have it bundled before you take possession of the taco during the sale, that way u get the full 36k warranty on everything. I wish I went this route had I known about this stipulation.

When I got my TRD lift the dealership advised I was the first and they had not yet installed one. That made me a little nervous but they assigned one technician to it and he was qualified.
I’m no lift expert but I’m happy and excited to drive my truck every chance I get. Having the full warranty is nice.
I asked them to leave the fog lights alone and they hesitated but realized I would just be putting them back on so they left them alone.
It did take them longer to install than expected and I believe they will adjust the install time and price for future installs but stuck to their initial quote on mine.

I’am happy I had the dealer do mine at the time of purchase, overpriced yes. But I’am too old to fight with a dealer over warranty stuff, it’s covered good enough. Now for some 265/75r16s to fill the wheel wells some, only offroading I’ll do is a few forrest roads and Daytona beach and the speed bumps in my retirement community.

I'm guessing they were they able to easily adjust the sensor in the grille without issue? Did it look like they used shims or washers? Love the OR/Sport grille, may be a little bias.

Looks like that is what they did. I just went out to look at it, and can see a washer on each side (under the side mounting bolts), and the bottom of the sensor is not flush with the mounting surface. Looks like it is pointed down slightly from what the original position must have been.

Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words.

I did buy the kit from them. Not sure if most dealers do this, but if you walk in, and buy the kit from the guy over the counter, they will charge you full retail. You have to place the order through the online store in order to get the discount. I have found their prices to be very competitive with some of the cheapest online retailers/dealers. They are also willing to price match, if need be.

Also, not sure that this would have made a difference, but I bought the kit a month before, and called to get an estimate on the install, and they told me 4-5 hours (as the kit suggests) @ either $100, or $110 per hour, so I went with them. I also asked them to re-aim my headlights, which is not part of the install, but they did it anyway.

Link to to the kit on their page: https://parts.toyotaofnashua.com/oem-parts/toyota-suspension-lift-kit-pt84k35221

Can anyone confirm that dealerships will or will not install this lift on DCLB? Thanks.
