    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
    What dont you get
Situation - it’s 20 degrees out. I’m plowing 6-8 inches of snow. WTF is easy about getting under the truck and pulling a plug to check fluid level. I know it’s down as rust perforated a line and a small leak started. If I could add fluid thru a dipstick tube to get me out of that situation so I could drive to my shop to make the repair, instead of having to get a tow truck

UAE gets a serviceable fuel and a dipstick. They are spoiled.

Bugga... I know Austalia gets a serviceable fuel filter as well. Never asked if they get a dipstick too. Hmm...

Other thing that might interfere would be the steering shaft considering the rhd market but UAE I believe is lhd (?)

I would be interested in this. It would be a much easier way to check the fluid with out having to drop skid plates, and even easier to check on the fluid color. Curious to see where this goes

I agree the normal fill and level check is not hard, especially with a Scangage 2 that displays TFT. That's not really the problem we are trying to address. The real issue is that if and when you have a *leak* you may not know it until your trans starts slipping, banging and acting up. And then you have no way to easily pour in some fluid to get you down the road and home. See my thread on a trans cooling line pinhole leak that almost left me stranded. It took me awhile to find it since it was slow and I was even thinking I had a bad solenoid or something. Luckily I wasn't too far afield and was able to drive it home and replace the hard line with no damage to the tranny. But it easily could have gone a lot worse.

Which one is this? Some of the linked pans had the dipstick on the other side. How do we figure out which one will fit on a Tacoma?

A solution in search of a problem.

Most vehicles will end up in the scrap yard for other reasons long before the transmission dies even if you never change the fluid.

I've been driving for nearly 50 years. I've never once changed the fluid in a transmission on any vehicle I've ever owned. I've driven several million miles in that time. I have nearly 1/2 million combined miles sitting on the driveway as I type this. All with the factory transmission fluid, and I've never had a single issue. Transmissions die because of abuse. If you let the fluid get too hot, the transmission is fried and changing it after you fry the transmission won't save it.

Most quality cars/trucks/SUV's have transmissions that are good for about 400,000 miles as long as you never let them overheat. Some cheap econo-box cars are good for around 150,000. Changing the fluid on a regular basis won't make either last any longer. They all wear out at about the same point whether you change the fluid or not. Just save the money you'd spend on changing the fluid for the day you need to rebuild/replace it. Some guys will literally spend more on servicing their transmissions than it will cost to rebuild or replace it.
