In the 2017 the photo sensor is in the right side tweeter cover. Mine has failed so that feature does not work now.

Actually sold my 3rd gen (4 months old) yesterday, needed something with more space for several car seats. Looking at a 4runner now.

I was sledding in Valemount last week and going up the trail at -34 had some real bite

 

Finally put in some bed lights (Amazon special), tied them into the cargo light.

I did the same a few years back. Found out that the 4runner really didn't have much more usable room over the Tacoma, plus I lost the ability to haul things. Now I'm Back in a Tacoma! (My Tundra was way too large for our local parking stalls)
