    Lol...

You can definitely change a tire with one.
    It's not a winch...but 12" is pretty significant...depending one who does the measuring. ;)
    Yes, but not by itself.
    Again, "huge" is very subjective.
Not if you know how to use it.
    WTF is a skottle?
Hope you feel better big boy!

I just put the bottle Jack on my front skid then lift the whole front end and for the rear I put it on the axle right behind the hub.

That is exactly what I carry with me. Works great and very safe.

Do the four holes on the ARB jack pad line up with the four holes on the stock jack?

Perhaps a rear tire after you lift past any suspension travel but I challenge you to show me a safe front tire change.
I’m happy you don’t know what a Skottle is. That gives you offroad cred. It’s a worthless, expensive cooker for suckers. Long made fun of and I tested it on a week long Baja trip. I wanted to throw it into the ocean.
Thanks for the well wishes. Two shots and a booster and here I am, missing work and have seen pretty much the entire internet, Netflix and Instagram.

any bottle jack is inherently UNstable extended

    i carry a 1.5ton alligator jack

i also carry 4 4X4 pieces of wood to form a stable base

18 inch plus 4 inch wood base

might not be enuf some some that are lifted

Eh I wouldn't go that far, Skottles are really really stupid, useless, and trendy. My hi-lift comes in handy from time to time. I just changed a flat on the side of the road with it last week. I'd never want to use it in my driveway working on my truck, it's more of an in the field last resort. And for using it as a winch it sucks and is slow but beats walking home.

I will completely agree with you that 99% of the folks with a Hi-Lift on their truck probably don't have jack points for it or any clue of how to use it.

Sucks on the Covid, I feel ya there. We're double vax'd and got it in November. Did our quarantine and then my job has the additional policy of having to stay home for 2 extra weeks AFTER your quarantine period so I was stuck home for a month. Then my poor wife got it again in December - twice in two months despite being vaccinated, wearing masks, and being careful.

If this is for in your garage I'd highly recommend a floor jack instead of bottle jack.

that looks pretty cool. I could use 2, 1 front and back to get each side up.
Don't have a garage, I work outside on a gravel driveway. floor Jacks don't really roll well.

Hey Mike ! Happy to help !

I understand, I have spent a lot of time on my back in the dirt ....
It's a blast when the small bolts and bits fall from your hand into the gravel as well !

I suppose a bottle jack would work as well with the Rennstand as a floor jack... Good Luck !

I use a factory screw style bottle jack with the safejack accessories. I bought an older version of the Toyota jack (3rd gen 4Runner I believe) that is small enough at the top to fit the safejack. I have a high-lift base that the factory jack fits in pretty well for some extra stability.

well I looked around the basement and found a 4 ton hydraulic bottle jack I forgot about. think I got it for the trailer or it got left here by my brother. looks like I can use that with some stands.

yeah I spend time laying and sitting in the dirt. I've done brakes and oil changes like that for years. sometimes we get fancy and lay out some cardboard. hopefully when I can buy a different house it will have a garage.

If you’re looking for something to watch and enjoy custom builds. Check out Fab Rats on YouTube. His ongoing FJ build is pretty bad ass.

Holling, thank you for a reality check. I worked on back roads in all kinds of weather for well over 30 years. Hi Lift jacks were on our work trucks in the 1960's and 70's, they were a liability. Trucks had steel bumpers then, and bumper jacks were the norm in cars a d light trucks. I would never use a Hi Lift, much happier and safer with a bottle jack for lifting and a 2 ton come along for pulling.

The factory jack is fine for emergency tire changes me thinks. Check your owners manual for the correct jack points. They might not be where you expect. For the garage I have a floor jack and jack stands. For recovery I have a hi-lift, but it spends most of its time in the garage

Since the Skottle came up and a few don't know what one is here is a photo. Somebody is learning that it doesn't get hot enough to cook eggs on a cold day or somebody threw up in it when they realized they bought a gimmicky item. I believe it's the latter. Wanna cook food, bring a stove (Partner Stove) or a grill to toss over a fire.

For the garage I have one of the extended reach Daytona’s. It’s heavy but great.
