What's funny to me is how people who don't normally buy lottery tickets will run out to buy them once the jackpot gets up to like five hundred million dollars. The minimum Powerball Jackpot is $20 million. Even after the lump sum loss and taxes, this would be more than enough for me to live very comfortably for the rest of my life.

 

Well, ya never know, better get one just in case....

I like the big work pools where they buy 100 tickets but everyone chips in $2 and it's an even split.

So what happens if we win? The whole division just shuts down as everyone quits? Lol

 

The part I find funny is all the people who flock to the store that sold the winning ticket and celebrate. WTF they didn't win anything, they lost. Do they think that the winner is going to come into the store and hand out $100.00 bills to everyone?

 

Ha! That would be awesome! But, it would have to be 1 helluva jackpot for 100 people to quit their jobs over it.

 

I mean, the store gets a bonus. But none of the customers do lol

500M + would do it.

Hell, 2M ain't enough to retire on at 32, but it's enough to quit this damned job and work somewhere I like lol

 

That's what I would do if I won a "small" jackpot. Pay off all debt, buy modest house with cash, and work at a bait shop or something for "walking around money."

 

I'm 56, so 2M would be enough. I think I'd might do something on the side, but not on someone else's time clock.
