Well, for over a year now I've enjoyed having 2 huge office rooms to myself here at work. Today they're moving new hires into one of them. Now I'm going to have to be friendly again if I can remember how. Fuckers

Part of the reason is that the other side of the building is having issues with people getting exposed with Covid because that side has 2x the amount of employees working in it than the IT side does, where I'm at. So of course they've decided to start putting some of those germ infested a-holes over here near my space.

luckily the photo studio is huge and still only occupied by me, I'll become more of a hermit I guess.

    Yeah, its getting stupid.

We're supposed to have our annual conference in 2 weeks, and management is pretending like covid doesn't exist. Same old shoulder to shoulder demo room, same old speaker arrangements. I'm in the middle of raising a flag. Boss has been receptive so far - i can even not go if that makes me happy, but then I feel shitty for leaving coworkers hanging. Blarg.

Yeah that's a tough one. Over here the state has so many covid regs for businesses that if a big company like this were to snub them they'd be taking on a huge liability.

Its all over the place here. Some places have requirements, some have just given up entirely. A friends kid no longer has a bus to ride to school because they don't have enough drivers. Its like watching a slow mo train wreck.

$200 for that kit seems very high, right?

I think theres a fair amount of labor in all the connections for a small enterprise, and then room for markup.

Yeah the right setup could really make part of that cheap. Not sure they're savvy enough for it though.

It was amazing. I’m a little disappointed the DeLorean hero car from the movie was in the storage though. They had a James Bond exhibit instead.

Oh trust me, I've thought about it. This forum has taught me people will buy anything if it's perceived to be high quality. I don't care to pick one thing and buy the tooling for it and keep an inventory in this small house of mine though, nor do I want to set up an ecommerce site and find buyers.
