That is correct - Your temp VIN should produce results in the vehicle specification lookup up until the truck starts it's build process. From what I understand, once that temp VIN produces an error - it should mean that the production process has started. I would imagine the dealer has the ability to get the real VIN by now...I found the real one through my dealers website before I even heard from my salesman. Wish I knew more about the whole logistics of it all...

They will not charge it. They will only charge if you get the allocation, accept it, THEN back out. I put a CC deposit at several different dealers and took the first allocation on the vehicle I wanted. Got my refund back on all.
Keep that dealer and shop around to other dealers as well. Request allocations from others as well. That will up your chance at getting what you want. Best to go on line if you can travel, even out of state, and look at dealers who can up your chances. Your chances would be better at larger volume dealers but beware of those who add atrocious “dealer” fees or “administration” fees or any other fees that do no belong. Just know what your cost will be so you are not surprised when the vehicle arrives. Definitely discuss price when placing the allocation. Good luck.

Just found a 22 MGM Pro allocated but not yet sold. Giving them a deposit today. They said about 45 days. :amen::bananadance:
Hopefully, nothing gets "added at port", even though I said I didn't want anything extra since I probably already have it waiting for the truck.

What does the VSPEC sheet show? Because that is what will come on it. Dealers vary in willingness to add or remove port options. The one I went with luckily agreed to.

Thank you, I hope so! This has got to be one of the very first Trail Editions to roll off the line, and we have only seen it in Lunar, so I am excited.

AT, too much traffic where I'm at for MT.

I was bored so I was looking at the online Brochure and just realized the Preium package doesn't include the JBL audio with the MT only AT, that sucks as I wanted that.

I’ve had the JBL and currently have the non JBL. Trust me you’re not missing out on much, if you upgrade the tweeters to the kicker ones that everybody does for $100 the system sounds better than the JBL

Oh ok I can change them all out like I did in my 17' but I had the JBL in my 08' Tundra and it was really good so if this one isn't then no biggy it just surprised me they would cut that from the MT Package makes zero sense.

Well they’re both pretty terrible but the non JBL is easier to upgrade. Also you’ll be having so much fun with the manual you won’t even care about listening to music

Built my dad's Manual Cement OR back in Aug of 2021 than they changed it to the 2022 lunar rock model. We just took delivery on December 15th.

My dad loves it and we already started modding it.

Dealer markups suck. Luckily in Canada we don't have to deal with that, but we just have to wait for our allocations to come up.

My dealer is only nailing me 2k. I'm OK with it. Originally they had been 4k over, but a friend of mine just bought his 4runner from them in May, and a few of the sales guys know me as they are customers at the hobby store I part time at. I guess it helped.

Just a heads up, walnut creek Toyota only charges MSRP. Ours was 43k before the tax and license with options on it.
