I really like the rack. I dig the fact that you can pull the crossbars off and load taller things in the center. Also, I like the storage pods. Why did you choose it? First impressions?

It was a choice between this and the c4, just liked the way this one flows just a little bit more, with the grill instead of in front of it.

Those rain guards are nice, very low profile. What %tint is that?

I had the frontrunner load bars, mainly for transporting our bicycles on trips. They prevented me from being able to load taller things in the truck. The rooftop tent that I would like to get will extend over the cab so I needed something that got the tent up higher. I am not a fan of shells, but wanted something with some level of secured storage. My first impressions, this rack is amazing. Very well engineered and very high quality. I really like the pods (I have the large one coming as well) and the fit and finish is perfect. I highly recommend this rack if your budget allows.

thanks the rain guards are the avs in channel which have been nice since it’s always rainy where I live. I got 15% tint all around so it’s a little darker in the back over the factory tint.

Yeah I’ve watched a few videos. The Avs look nicer but it’s a short straw to get one that isn’t damaged in packaging. I’m contemplating on doing 5% all around.

I didn’t even know there was an issue with getting damaged ones, guess I got lucky! I like the look of 5% but not the visibility out. Even at 15% there are times I have to roll down the window to see but that probably is partly because of it being dark and rainy. If you live somewhere that gets some sun 5% would be nice.

This is on my list. How long did it take to tear apart the interior, lay the material, and put it all back together? Seems like a perfectly doable weekend job, but the Tacoma is my daily.

I have battled today with my E brake. I keep remembering the red solo cup when I pull the lever. I need to put something on mine.

    I added w
Weathertech window vents and Cooper Discoverers 265/75/16.
The tires fit perfectly with my stock suspension and wheels.

How do the coopers feel on your Tacoma? I have them on my F150 and I’m thinking I would put them on my Tacoma.

Gotta do that, too. Just got a great deal on some brand new, unused Thule X12 chains. Now I have to find some snow conditions!

Also, is that a Redarc trailer controller? I need to add a controller for one of my flatbed trailers with ebrakes. Thinking that's a clean set up. You likey?

I have just over 5k on my AT3's that I traded out at 1k miles on the new TRD. Had them on my F150 SCrew 4x4 and still have them on my '98 Ranger SCab 4x4. Excellent tires on/off road and hold up a good long time. No excessive noise on the Taco but my mileage is a bit sucky at around the high 15's for combined driving.

Thanks. Just ordered one. Hopefully the next time I get groceries I won’t have to hear it hit the bulkhead and wonder if it is leaking.

So I guess the weight of the tire killed your mileage? I have them on my work truck but the company pays for the gas in that so I don’t check the mileage to see if they hurt it. I will say that the work truck was awesome in the snow yesterday.
