Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

I already paid for the SUA, all of my current stuff is going on my fiancés taco. So it works lol

 

Selling my current rear set up and bumper/shell will pay for my four link, coilovers, fuel cell and tube bed with money to spare. Hell just the bumper and shell will cover most if not all of it.

 

I also really hate it……that said if I don’t have to rebuy three times I know I did it wrong… lol

 

Can anyone school me on the difference between Fox Performance series and Fox Factory series?

 

The Performance Series is aluminum body, typically 2.0". The Factory Race Series is steel body and typically 2.5". What's the specific application? Tacoma front, rear, etc?

 

They make a performance coilover in 2.5” body it looks like. Looking at 14 or 16” coilovers for the rear. Slow crawl

 

I believe the performance series is just their lower shelf line while the factory is top shelf.

 

Yeah I figured that. Trying to see if the price difference is justifiable for my use. Can’t find anything comparing the two.

 

For crawling you don't need anything to crazy. I'm sure the performance would do just fine. I do not recommend ordering shocks until you have the link stuff figured out and cycling. Just no other way of knowing what size you can run until then.

 

That is correct. There is a 2.5" Performance Series C/O that is a lower line with cheaper components. I believe that's the only outlier though. Most other Performance Series is a 2.0" body.

 

That’s what I was thinking. May ask Accutune what specific differences there are. No telling what geometry and weight it’ll be until it’s done so that’ll come last. I think I’ve about settled on a dual triangulated kit from Barnes. Their DOM was cheaper than sourcing local, too. I think 4’ sticks will be plenty, but will double check this weekend.

 

It's still a quality product, just a cheaper version. Crimped -8 hoses, single preload ring, etc. They cut down the cost where possible for a more budget oriented product.

 

I doubt I’d ever push it hard or fast enough to notice a difference here. Hell if I didn’t want to keep a tag for it I’d probably get away with air shocks. I think they’d burn out quickly at speed though.

 

ORI's would work fine. Lots of guys running them even on dailys

 

Looked at those, too. Seems like the Fox performance have the most bang for the buck. Got a while to decide though.

 

I remember reading somewhere in this thread about running this LT kit with midtravel coils. Can anyone elaborate on that? Any travel numbers to speak of?

 

If I recall you lose about an inch or so of travel. You will need different misalignments in the lower otherwise I think that was it.

 

So lower mis spacer and a tophat spacer? Or just a mis spacer?
