That would only be a ~12% drive train loss, which is not realistic at all

Didn't you go to dyno a with guy who put down exactly 244hp stock, and caused a shit storm on Facebook recently over not having dyno graphs? Seems awefully suspetise that "Stephanie" chimed in with "her" first post right after the dyno graph was posted and was asking for logs.

Honestly curious question here. You’ve been watching this thread among others. What are your expectations of your Tacoma and what would be your expectations of a tuned Tacoma?

There are a ton of helpful folks here that, if asked, are always willing to help.

    Either way, welcome to TW!

I’m assuming “Stephanie” wants pro charger numbers like 125 HP that shift like KDMax, sounds familiar

Can you elaborate on the Air fuel difference is shows in the bottom graph. At about 5400 rpm there is quite a difference

The stock A/F gets lean after 5400. That is how it is from the factory.
The KDMax-Pro tune has the A/F adjusted and is not lean at that higher rpm.

Typically AFR at wide open throttle should be in the rich territory (somewhere between 12-13 ).

you would need a procharger and meth injection to accomplish those kinds of numbers ;)

I don't have AFR numbers on my runs, but my HP/TQ continued to pull strong to over 6k RPM before they started to drop off right before redline. They didn't start dropping out at 5400 like his

You know, to me the most important part of this is the low end gains. That is where we typically drive, so that is where, in my opinion, a tune should really make a difference. It's nice that there are max hp and torque gains at 6.5k but that ain't where I spend my time while driving. So, I'll say fantastic work! Oh, and it is immensely more drivable than stock.

Frankly both dyno's posted in the last two pages were using "std" calibration, which doesn't account for weather. This is a chart of ovtune using SAE calibration on a stock 2016 with 265-75-16" tires on stock wheels.

Not saying STD isn't useful but there's been companies out there that will test a product and use a heat soaked car, then retest at night when it's colder so show massive gains.

I wouldn't expect tunes to vary much in peak numbers, and peak numbers don't mean much anyways.

Hi Guys. OK, here's my question... is the gap between the red and blue curves at the beginning actually speaking to the improved responsiveness / overall drivability of the KD Max Pro tune vs. stock tune? It does seem to suggest that as everything takes off from a lower initial RPM (the response time must be faster), but whereas no one has made this statement yet, I thought I'd go ahead and ask as the engineer in me is still looking for an objective piece of data to go with the many subjective accolades that have been put into the public domain about this Tune. :pccoffee:

    Thank you.

Yes the overall responsiveness and drive ability is enhanced with the Pro tune over stock. I think we have many members state in reviews coming from stock to KDMAX-Pro how much better there truck responds and what a pleasure it is to drive. I don't think you will be disappointed!

    none ):
I got a quick question about my tune.. I've been KD max tuned since October and I love it by the way, but recently I'm noticing that while I'm at very low speed (let's say behind a car on traffic 1-2 mph) and the truck is rolling without hitting the gas and then I hit the gas, the truck just jerks big time and it just kicks in..

    Is this normal?
