Compared to the Firestone Destinations I replaced...night and day difference. The ride home on the highway was smooth as silk. The truck tracks better and just feels good. I got the truck up to 70mph and felt no vibration or shimmy.

There's an old saying from my WERA days that applied to suspension and tires really well: "The best you know is the best you've had."
Well, so far, these Coopers are the best I've had.

At first I just attached the loops from the net to the factory rail anchors, but I wanted the net closer to the tail gate than the rails allowed. So I put a d-ring on each side right by the tailgate and attached the net as seen in the pictures. Now it's right up against the tail gate and extremely easy to remove when needed!

I have been looking at pics to figure out how it would work best. I saw some with it up against the cab but I would rather have it back at the tailgate. I will just experiment with it when it arrives.

Yeah that’s a red arc. Unfortunately I haven’t had the need for it yet. I thought for a hot minute I was gonna be getting an overland trailer with electric brakes. The cig spot is good place because they are both circles. Now I have to move the cig lighter to the back for fridge purposes.

Yes I agree it sucks! What is changed with the fuel that causes the drop?

I'm sure you guys there are settings that can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. When I first got my truck it was annoying how much they went on in very mild darkness. But after finding the right adjustment I think they were pretty well.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
That could easily be a big portion of my mileage. We're only at about 6.5k after buying on 7/31 so it's possible the blends have hosed me. I'm playing with tire pressure now to see how much I can get from that.

I definitely see a drop when winter comes. It isn’t due to idling my truck to let it warm. I get in it and go. I’m blessed to park it in the garage. I try to keep the tire pressures at 35 but I can’t get the mileage back until late spring.

Are you half way electronically inclined? Like can you operate a multimeter for resistance and voltage. Also, comfortable running wires through the firewall (in a hole that already exists) and making a connection to the under hood fuse box? If you answered yes to these, and want to be a guinea pig... err... alpha tester, let me know. I have the plans to add auto headlights. I need a good tester though. It involves a harness that goes to the steering column (just the bottom cover has to be removed, so it's easy), a photocell that goes to the passengers side tweeter cover (it's a pop out cover, so it can be undone if you change your mind), a wire that runs from those outside to the passengers side where a small box will be mounted. That small box also has a wire that needs ran over to the fuse box where a fuse tap and a ground will go. All plug and play (in as far as no wires need spliced, just run to different spots) so it all can be undone. The photocell is also adjustable, and I might make the timer that controls the delay for when the lights turn on and off adjustable too. I think it would be a good idea at least on the alpha version so you can adjust it. Sorry, I think out loud as I type sometimes... This set up basically acts like your stalk switch (the switch that turns on the DRL and headlights) and will work if you leave it on DRL or OFF, and it is overridable if you need to turn the headlights on for something, that function will still work on the stalk switch. Actually, if you wanted to run a switch to "enable" the auto headlights, that can be done too. Instead of running the wire from the box to the under hood fuse box, we could run it over to the in cab fuse box. We just need to tap an ignition controlled fuse. The amp draw will be super low as it is just powering a couple of relay coils. so no more than 0.4A I am sure, most likely 0.2A is probably a better guess. Anyway, I've rambled long enough, let me know if you're interested.

    Far to much money spent.

I removed the set that came with my truck (likely aftermarket install) but I did it with a chisel so they are mostly useless now.

I am pretty handy doing electrical and general mechanical stuff, I've wrenched on pretty much every vehicle I've ever owned.
But I would not want to be in the test phase of a wiring mod. I like buying things that have already been through Alpha and Beta testing lol.
Though if you do end up doing this, figuring everything out to make it work like a factory mod, and come up with premade wiring and sensor I would buy it from you.
