If you can't see electricity, what is sparking between the tines of a Jacobs ladder?

Being a Ladder to Heaven, its the light glimmering off the rungs, and/or, the iluminance of the angels lining it.....Im thinking, from what I have seen in the pictures.

Do you see the electricity or the oxygen and other gases reaction to the charge?

Yes, but it wasnt constructed as well as the ones made in USA. And they were made for a smaller individual. The USA made ones have been tested to 920#

That is the visual result if electricity much like the perfection of the cycle of life life on the earth and the perfection of solar system itself is a visual result of some higher intelligence,

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Electricity is defined as the flow of electrons. What you see are electrons flowing from a high to low resistance. It takes a lot of electrons to bridge that gap. Proof? That taser would not do that in a vacuum.

    You don't want to know...

Yep, this proves there is micro-evolution, which I'm glad there is or we would probably all look identical...

If there wasn't, I wonder if all chicks would be hot? You know we might have gotten screwed on the whole micro-evolution thing!

I'm not saying macro-evolution doesn't exist. I've already admitted that I am not up on the current works by scientist on evolution.

I can't find anything beyond scientist putting a computer generated example of what they think a animal they don't even know if actually existed might have looked like, when I search myself.

So again, I challenge anyone to show me actual evidence of macro-evolution.

Sir, do you actually "see" the results or do you "see" it with your heart and connect the dots seeing things that others may not see physically?

I am just trying to figure this one out because not even 6 months ago one of my acquaintance's grand babies who comes from a very devout religious family have lost that child after nearly 8 years of struggling with all kinds of illnesses, going through 20 some surgeries and finally succumbing to the disease. Is that what you see? Is that some sort of test that god has put this child through? We have been collecting funds for past 4 years because family is in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.... is that what god wanted? Daily suffering for 8 years, sleepless nights, mountain of debt to health industry and in the end poor child fell asleep for the last time and family is torn apart, mother is in rehab, dad has left the union...

Please show me what I need to see in order to see what you see that makes 1/3 of this planet continue to believe in a higher being that never quite shows involvement in people's affairs and allows its followers to go through things like above mentioned tragedy?!

it could be part of gods plan, maybe people get what they need (do not confuse this with deserve) to learn and grow and become people god wants them to be.

It would be very erroneous to look at tragic events and say "see god isnt real or he wouldnt make me sad"

I think there is a very big difference between being sad and being subjected to a very long time of tragic events that happen all over the planet to a lot of families who believe in a higher power. In a matter of speaking you could look at the big picture and say that religion provides a learning pathway to becoming better people but you can also say that the other half that religion does not quite want to dwell on is all the ugly stuff. Pardon me for saying it but in many ways I see religion much like a cell phone company that entices you with all the cool things and once they have you hooked... only then you learn that service does not come with all the benefits or is not available at all times or in all places. In case of phone companies... there is always another phone provider out there.. in case of religions.. I guess if one does not work out there are hundreds of other ones to pick from! Different gods... different traditions and most of them either scare you to death or make many promises that can not be easily verified such as existence of afterlife.

I think you missed my point. many people have had very tragic things happen to them in their life. religion can serve as an outlet for your grief and struggle if you believe there is a higher purpose for the events we are presented with. You can say shit happens and that sucks, or you can say, god has a plan for all of us and think about what you can learn from the tragedy.

If you can be content with the "shit happens" approach then that is great and power to you. For those that chose to believe there is a plan, that usually works for them too.
