no recreational needs to register as well but under Recreational Use. I may still go for my 107 though maybe make some money on the side on the road with it. I used it to inspect our gutters on the house lol.

What is everyone using for wheeling comms around here? Ham? GMRS? CB? Just trying to plan my setup a little better.

    Smoke signals

But seriously, I went with Ham. But the radio is dual band so I can can talk to FRS/GMRS. Yes, I have a license, KC3MOY. I am definitely going to get a CB too though so I'm prepared for anything.

Baofeng is what I have now but the market is ripe with competitors just as good. I have a flip-up antenna mounted to the Prinsu. It all functions well. Ham is going to be best in any area when larger rock formations are involved, or you're separated by a mountain/large hill.

Well, I'm happy to be here. I like to think I have a high tolerance for shenanigans. Guess we'll see. ;)

I used to have an aversion to dogs. I wasn't really a fan of being jumped on and there was a rotweiler who was chained up next door who was aggressive and a bit terrifying. Good owners and good training makes a world of difference and I've since come to like and appreciate dogs again. Every pet I've owned has been a rescue, so .

Let me know if you ever make it out here. :)

Well, thick skin is sometimes a must on here, but it's very easy to block someone. Then it's as if they don't exist. I joined June 2017 and have only blocked one :jerkoff: person. But if you never bring up politics or religion, and don't bully the 3rd gen peeps, you'll be fine.

There's a lot of cool threads on here though. I've met so many wonderful people. We have thing called Tacoma Express. Essentially, volunteers transport cargo for members in a relay fashion. So.e of us in here are members, myself included. There's generation specific threads, hobbies, special interests, etc etc etc. :blahblah:

But I have made friends with people as far away as California and as close as 20 minutes away. As far south as Tejas, and as far north as Canada. There's so much diversity and so many personalities, it's fantastic. I guarentee it's never boring somewhere on here

Post up some pics of truck. Maybe someone will recognize you if they see you. I wave  at every Tacoma I see. I'm at about 0.0001% for return waves.

Here's mine. It replaced a gorgeous 2017 Inferno Sport that was totaled in a accident.

    20210529_150918.jpg

That's great you're giving it another chance. Our dogs have given us a second lease on life. Our physical and mental health have definitely benefited. My Aunt is not a dog person so I get it. Our Girl Phoenix is a work in progress on the jumping up, but for her it's just overwhelming love for people. She's absolutely the worst guard dog. If she could get belly rubs from the burglar she help carry out the tv. :p

Oh absolutely! There are meets occasionally and lately they've all been on the west side. Cars & Coffee is what they're called.

    G'night :hattip:

    Morning MD!

Looks like a bit of ice out here in Westmonster. Feels like about 15’ out. Be safe as you’re out and about, def going to be some of those hidden slick spots! Should be gone soon though… good riddance! Lol!

Let’s see if them Ravens can give us one more good show for the year as well as Big Ben’s last game ever. Who knows… maybe the Jags will upset the Colts yet again, despite the odds… and Ravens will have a chance at playoffs.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe and healthy!
