The best tires for the money?

Ive been lookin around tryin to find the tires for my truck and cant seem to decide what i want.. I want an aggressive looking a/t or a not so aggressive m/t tire... just wanted some suggestions about the cheapest tires and the best for the money.... looking for 285's

 

Everyone has a different opinion. Just do some research on here and tire websites to make your decision.

I originally had maxxis bighorns, i only spent around 650 for those. And i got about 35-40000 miles out of them, but 98% of those miles rode like s***. Last week i broke down and finally spent the money and got a set of BFG KM2's. and so far i love them, they are really quiet compared to the bighorns.

best for the money is probably the hankook dynapro atm RF10's

 

My buddy got these. Cooper discoverer S/T's. They have barely worn any and he's had them over 6 months. They are really aggressive but not like a mud tire. The tread is great. For the money thats what I would suggest.

they are lower priced, and in my experience you can't get a better tire in traction and lasts for higher mileage.

 

I have those in 255/85/16 that I bought blemished off ebay (no white walls). HUGE mistake, now I have horribly vibrating tires that won't balance right. They do perform awesome in the mud though.

 

Dont know if snow is a concern for you but his tires do amazingly well in the snow.

 

I just got some General AT2's 285/75/16 which are AT and they look pretty aggressive and I think the price was right. They were like $770.00 shipped to the house

 

yes they do, especially my narrow ones.

 

Check out treadwright.com I have only seen good reviews on these guys. Retreads can be debated elsewhere but they're worth taking a look at if you don't want to break the bank.

i have cooper discoverer atr's and theyre amazing off and on road, if you want a more aggressive look but like 10k less mileage get the STT's

 

I have the Hankook Dynapro ATM's and love them. Best tire I could find for a low price. For me it was a cheap way to get rid of the stock Dunlops without breaking the bank. Would definitely buy them again.

I was always told that "Mastercraft Tires" are made by Cooper.
I have the Cooper Discoverer M&S 10 ply on my full size van and I have at least 40K miles on these tires and they still look like new
I am impressed with the Cooper Tires and when it comes time when I need tires for my Taco, it will be Cooper, or maybe Mastercraft.

My experience with the STT's (which has been quite a bit) are crap. Yes they look good and are mean as hell. But if you want to turn around and have to buy tires after 10,000 miles I would not recommend these. They don't last anytime.
