I got a call from my dealer in Savannah, GA today and they were able to secure my truck…

2022 Tacoma TRD Off-Road DCSB in Lunar Rock w/ Premium Off Road and XP Predator Packages

    Deposit Placed -30DEC21
    Allocation - 05JAN22
    Build Date - 29JAN22
    Expected Delivery - 28FEB22

The only concern I have is when I search the VIN everything above populates except the XP Predator Package. It has every other upgrade listed under port installs but the XP is no where to be found. The spec sheet with the VIN I got from the dealer today includes it and they assured me the truck will have it. Has anyone run into this and should I be concerned?

I googled it. Basically comes with predator steps, blackout stuff, Goodyear Wranglers and some TRD rims. I think.
    https://toyotaxseries.com/tacoma-xp-predator/

It's odd though, because it says "not all accessories shown are included in every pack"

It’s pretty much the 16” Black TRD Pro Wheels with beefier tires, blackout badging/tailgate inserts and the side step rails.

There’s always a discount on the package so you end up getting it all for the price of just the wheels and tires.

I’m going to put some sliders on there and sell the side steps. (May not be much but since the steps come essentially free I’ll recoup back some of the money I’ve spent on the sliders.)

Yeah if the steps are basically free, you may as well go for it and get some free money out of it

I don’t think the predator package is available here in Canada, but is it something added after it leaves the factory? Like a 3rd party vendor? This may be why you don’t see it yet

That’s the only thing I can think of. Fingers crossed. I guess I’ll find out and let you all know at the end of February. Lol.

Traded my 2018 Super White TRD Sport for a 2022 TRD Sport in Lunar Rock and just picked it up last night after dark...it still gets dark really early here! Went out this morning to look at the new colour and take few pics and found out that it looks pretty good with some white stuff on top. Those are 265/70/17 Wildpeaks in the foreground about to be mounted on black TRD rims for the summer season. Looking forward to getting this onto some mild local trails!Lunar Rock Tacoma.jpg

Most definitely it's a 'port' or dealer add on, after the factory. Anything bolt on like tube steps, bed step, stick on like blackout emblems, non-standard lift for the trim, or non-standard wheels and tires for the trim is generally not a factory option.

My neighborhood tweakers would be beside themselves with joy. They'd probably build a tire fort out of them or try to load em up in a shopping cart to pawn.

Small town Canada no less. If they went missing I'd just have to call Gary down the road and he'd tell me whose garage they ended up in. A few large, double-double Timmies would get them back to me! Now I'm just speaking Canadian Code language.

I was born in MN so I only vaguely understand part of that... I think. Assuming you mean Tim Hortons

You guys in the border states know what I mean...yup, Tim Horton's coffee. They tried to make a run into the states but it never took off, kind of like the Tragically Hip.

I think they have a few in oklahoma or something weird like that. I know they can't really gain any traction in MN against caribou coffee

I installed my tailgate reinforcement plate from Relentless Fabrication today. This was one of the better upgrades I made to my GenII. They've made a lot of improvements over the years. I'm just slightly bummed that the tailgate damper doesn't do all that much now with the extra weight.

I like that bike rack! Did you make it yourself? What size is your bike?

I did build it myself. I've used it with several bikes now. The longer bikes have to sit at an angle, but I've always been able to fit two bikes.

I have no love of tailgate pads. I've tried several models. They scratch the paint. They scratch the bikes. Maybe it's the dirt here, or I'm picky. But I'm not into them.

I used to mount the forks at the front of the truck, but I grew weary of climbing into the bed to put the bike in. So I made my own.

I used a set of "Mini Stiffys" that I found on here. A piece of aluminum square tube, a handful of Riv-Nuts and a set of Rocky Mounts (that I already had). Then I worked with my buddy (also on here) to make wheel holders.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/mtb-wheel-hauler-contest-name-this-thing.711725/

    The price was pretty inconsequential.

    Mini Stiffy: $50
Aluminum Bar & Angle: >$20 (not sure as I used scrap's that were kicking around)
    Riv-Nuts: >$10
    Stainless Hardware: $20
@TMCmakes Wheel Carrier: I helped develop, I don't know if he's set a price yet.
