When you say ECU unable to be read, do you mean you could not Read ECU, or you could not perform Prepare ECU (with an internet connection)?

Did you flash back to stock first?

Here's a thread that @tonered made when he was helping me with a similar issue. Couldn't flash the updated CUW file until flashed back to a stock tune for the current ID first.

Replied to your PM, but it's Prepare ECM, Select Calibration File, Calibrate ECM

Edit, you said update? You mean flash though, yes?

    Hello all,

I would just like to take the time to thank this community for their patience while we continue to work on the SC tune.

I know it's taking awhile but lots of factors have been contributing to the longer process.

First and foremost has been weather. The PNW and the Rockies got hammered with a couple storms that have made it pretty much impossible to safely perform pulls for datalogging. Secondly, as very cold temperatures set in for our testers, this made AFR tuning difficult if not unwise, due to how the 3GT ECU compensates for fluctuations in temperature and barometric pressure. And there were holidays of course. Family time for everyone. All in all, this made winter tune progress slow significantly through December. We recently picked up an additional tester in Hawaii with mid 70-deg weather to assist us with moving forward. All of this continues to be done while working around personal schedules.

Thirdly, anybody who has developed any tunes to distribute for the community knows full well how often you fix or alter something in the tune for these trucks, you put it through however much testing to confirm it's the proper step forward for all driving scenarios, only to have it highlight some other issue or some aspect of behavior that is undesirable or worth addressing, oftentimes right when you're convinced that all is well. This FI tune has been no different. This isn't to say the project is impossible by any means, just lots of little things to hammer out as they pop up. Sometimes it's only MT related. Sometimes it may be only AT related.

Fourth, dyno days sometimes get rescheduled due to various reasons. One of them got cancelled by the shop we were going to use for pulls due to weather. Again, this was a safety thing and the shop did not want to risk their employees' safety coming into work that day. The most recently scheduled and cancelled day was set for the 15th, and cancelled because most of the shop is out with COVID. While dyno days can be rescheduled, it does set us back a bit as coordinating time between all parties involved has to begin anew.

We're continuing to work forward on this diligently and want to make sure the community and those interested in the YotaWerx SC tune know that we appreciate your patience and support.

To our testers, thank you for all the personal time and resources you've given up to test and provide data and feedback to help us on this project:

Gonna have to read up on the V calibration issue - if and when 04B05 comes out it looks like many of us may encounter the same problems. Good to know there is a solution. Thanks to you and @Murd3rd for sharing the information and experience.

I was just glad to help get @sorevilo the info needed.

100% agree with this. If anyone is rushing you, or is impatient, they'll be the first ones to complain when it's not good in the end(or to their standards, which you may have those anyway). It's your product. You release it when *YOU* think it's ready. Just look at the video game market if you think releasing things before they're done is a good idea. Lmao!

On a somewhat side note, for those that are running a single AFR gauge, any downsides to this? I found the innovate dual gauge AFR and am thinking about going that route. Two gauges in one, can independently monitor both banks...seems like a big plus. Especially when running a tune beyond what Magnuson had intended.

I'm also looking at the URD Spec-U exhaust for a few reasons. 1 is an equal length Y-Pipe(performance minded), 2 - keeps the "Y" portion tucked up way high so no need to reroute the crossover, which I was planning on doing anyway, and 3 the sound...man does it sound sweet.

I'm waiting on Gadget to get back with me on whether or not it comes with O2 bungs installed so I can know to either request it or order some and do it myself, which isn't a big deal if needed.
