I like this idea!.

If your going with new gears.

 

Just what are you doing?? Have the shop do the complete job remove the differentials install and set up new/Used gears or just drop off the differentials and have the gears swapped and set up?

 

When I re-geared I was fortunate to find another member selling the entire front & rear housings that also already had ARB air lockers installed.
I had my father in laws shop swap them in and then later on ran the air lines.

Years later I blew the rear diff and that time I swapped it myself. Not very difficult but definitely a dirty job.

 

i still remember the nascar style part out when Q flood his truck at my place. We had the rear differential swapped out in about 30 minutes.

 

One of them needs a new paint job.

 

what are the horses doing out of the stable?

We got out about noon. The sun was shining and the wind was light, so the walk was pleasant. I also had her double layered just to be sure.

 

Yea now with the sun out it feels alot better. Susposed to hit 34 today.

 

Having 3 other people and the lift in your shop makes all the difference.

 

Impromptu run to the cabin for some disconnect time.

So.....
I was rooting around in the basement at dad's, looking for some old camping gear I had left there from my youth. Dad comes down to help and he finds his old Red Ryder in a corner. I pulled it out and he was telling me about how he could use it to shoot and light matches when he was a kid. I love getting him talking about this stuff.
Anyway, he tells me that he had saved for a scope for this and described how it mounted. It occurred to me that I had seen something like that.
So....while we were up at the cabin tonight, we took a look into an old steamer trunk that we had stashed up there. It is pretty much empty except for some cool old pictures of dad when he was stationed at Pearl, "back in the day" (Army Air Corp)....and...found this old BB gun scope!
Reunited when we got home.

 

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

Got a call from Lynn's Mom's caregiver yesterday afternoon...she tested positive for COVID 19 soooooo...we are in a 5 day self-quarantine. Fortunately, she has been off since Wednesday to celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas so we may have missed the exposure but both Lynn and her Mom spent a bunch of time with her on Wednesday. No symptoms for us at this point.
