Autism and Employment (another PennSilverTaco thread)!

I have shitlisted the Popeye's on Street Road in Warminster; That one is open for indoor dining, but the last time I was there I went through the drive-thru and the employee was a bit short with me for doing so...

This Popeye's, located on Broad Street in Lansdale, is still not open for indoor dining or even for Dashers who don't feel like waiting in an exceedingly long drive-thru line...

Kinda confusing if you ask me; Note how it says those doors are for customer pickup, yet they were locked and there was another sign saying "drive-thru only" ...

 

This time, I tried to give them a chance, begrudgingly getting back in the truck and heading to the drive-thru...

 

Big mistake!

 

See that blue BMW in front of me? The woman driving that BMW couldn't pull forward all the way because of the minivan in front of her and the three or so other vehicles in front of the minivan, which meant that even though the drive-thru speaker was free, I couldn't drive up to the damn thing!

 

Instructions obviously written for multiple Popeye's locations and not just the one in Lansdale...

 

With the line not having moved an inch on several minutes, I unassigned the order and left; $7 is profitable if the food is ready almost immediately, but not if you have to spend a longer time waiting in the drive-thru than it does to deliver it!

Remember the woman in the blue BMW in front of me? I made a right turn out of Popeye's, turned around in the parking lot of an insurance agency, and got a $15.50 assignment from an Asian restaurant also in Lansdale; I made a right turn out of the insurance agency parking lot and passed the Popeye's on my way to pick up that order...

The gray minivan had just gotten to the drive-thru window, and the woman in the blue BMW was still waiting her turn!

2-for-1 order that came in between leaving Popeye's and turning around at the insurance agency; Two orders from two different restaurants, going to the same place, for less than six bucks!

 

Really?!?!

Folks, this is what it looks like when a customer doesn't tip!

 

It would appear that fans of Popeye's don't know how to tip!

 

See what it says at the bottom? That's all well and good, but I've been doing a lot of "trial and error" experimentations by taking different orders over the years, and in my experience the payout on orders less than $6 does not go above the originally listed amount; As stated before, I will take secondary orders of $4.50 or more on top of a $7+ order, depending on whether or not it's from the same restaurant and how much farther I have to drive...

 

Three more low orders came in before the $15.50 order that showed up when I turning around at the insurance place...

 

Including yet another one from the same damn Popeye's that I had just left...

 

COLD!!! Finally feels like winter here in Southeast Pennsylvania...

 

That $15.50 order from the Asian place took me all the way to Sellersville, but I'd still say that the payout was pretty good!

 

I was still on the Sellersville customer's street when the insultingly low orders starting pouring in again, including for that same Popeye's, which was now about 10 miles from my current location...

 

And this one from Wawa...

Not my phone, but I've had to count to ten when a customer or a restaurant employee really pisses me off!

 

Had to put gas in the truck, and I saw that someone got creative with a sharpie marker...

At the same gas station I saw this Dodge Ram and had the opportunity to chat with the owner; This is what happens when you don't secure a load of lumber!
