    Jeez! Sorry to hear that!

I feel very lucky to be close to my parents. You're so right. You just don't know what will happen.

I believe we've talked about this before, but there's no such thing as too much paid vacation. It sure would be nice to have more.

I guess there's one benefit to working where I do. My hours are not coming from PTO.

Not sure what you mean by that? My company has decided to take care if their employees. Aside from this coming out of the company's profit (and ultimately our profit sharing checks), what's the issue?

Gaining vacation time by how many hours you work. My job wanted to do that but it would've screwed most people like me. Since I'll only be getting a week I'd gain .0193 hours of vacation for every hour I work which really isn't a whole lot. Makes planning trips a little harder and if something happened and I was out for like 2 weeks or a month well I'm screwed on vacation. But the plus side of it if you work a lot of hours you can gain vacation time very quickly

Oh, it's not like that. They covered my hours while I was off because they want people to stay home and get better. My vacation time is based solely on how many years I've been with the company.

Sux. I'm hoping to host driveway beers sometime once the weather starts getting nice again. Maybe I'll see you then!

We'll be on the Pipeline in a few weeks! :D

But, seriously, I'd like to have an "up north" shindig sometime. Maybe we can find a spot that's reasonable for you and @pearing . maybe a camping weekend or something.
