Yessir, I remember it fondly & thanks for the pic. Had a brief stint with Music ‘n Game. Big news yesterday was the release of the new Rush pinball machine. But with a 7K touch, I think I’ll save my quarters.

 

Harkers Island, what language do they speak there.... For those who have never been, inside joke. They have some very heavy accents there.

I lived in Newport for several years in the mid 80's. That's just about 15 miles from Atlantic Beach. Uncle was in the Corps at Cherry Point and he convinced me to come live with him and start college at East Carolina. They offered classes in Morehead City.

Even then, Atlantic Beach was really crowded June-Sep. We went to Ft Macon, Hammocks Beach State Park, Swansboro, etc. He eventually bought a house on Emerald Isle, opposite end from Atlantic Beach.

What I wanted to say is, if it's like it was then, you're dead on about renting. The local real estate places are usually eager to rent vacation properties in off tourist season. Myself and friends from school rented a really nice 4 brdm place on Emerald Isle all Winter one year. It was dirt cheap. They just want the places occupied to keep them from getting vandalized.

I don't think I'm supposed to watch the NDSU football championship game.

I don't have ESPN2 so I was going to start a free trial of YouTubeTV so I can watch it.
I slept until 11:10, game started at 11:00.
I fired up the computer and started said free trial.
I clicked on the game and it said watch live or start at the beginning.
I clicked start at the beginning.
It started live and wouldn't let me rewind.
I paused it to help my wife make lunch.
The power went out a few times.
The computer monitor wouldn't turn back on.
I got it working again (I hope) and am watching the game (for now) while eating lunch.

Pretty sure I should've just gone back to bed.

 

I can tell you the score in a few days when it comes on our TV

 

I'm good for now. I'm at 6:43 left in the first quarter.
