My 05 just rolled over 88k miles. I’m stoked about that. But now my brake light keeps flashing on the dash. The E-brake is full depressed. Just started today. Any ideas?

Brake fluid level would be my first check, if that's good you might want to have it scanned for ABS codes.

How do you check the brake fluid is there a dip stick?

There is a min and max line marked on the reservoir, the level should be between them.

if your truck needs brake fluid because you find it low in reservoir it means one of 2 things you either have a leak or brake linings are almost wore out.
the fluid level works out almost perfect on any veh,as a brake lining gauge, if brakes are replaced on all four wheels and fluid level is on max , and you NEVER add fluid from that point on, when the level hits low its time to inspect the brake pads and shoe linings, (seems to work best when veh has 4 wheel disc), so as a rule of thumb you can pop the hood at any time and visually see when its time to service the brakes.
note once the fluid level is topped up the "visual gauge" is now useless, quick lub oil change places and auto shops like to top up fluids so be aware of this.
    my 2 cents

My brake fluid is at its max. I didn’t have to put any in. Should I take it in for service it needs an oil change anyways in 200 miles.

I just drove 45 min home from work and no light came on. 3 45min drives and it came on and now nothing. I don’t know what to make of this. I’ll keep an eye on it.

I've had issues with my emergency brake getting too loose on my 1st gen and causing the e-brake light to come on intermittently. Just had to tighten it up, but I'm sure its a different process for 2nd gens (different e-brake styles). Anyway might be something to have checked out. Hows the e-brake feel, nice and tight/holds the truck well?

Unplug your E-Brake switch and see if it goes out. If it does you have a bad switch or the lever isn't fully depressing it.

Above the gas pedal, you can see it there's a single green/yellow wire going to it
