    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

It's 10F here and still dropping right now. We ended up getting about 3" of snow yesterday morning and had flurries off and on the rest of the day. Supposed to be sunny and cold today. At least I got to try out the new snowblower yesterday. Worked like a champ!

We also took down our real Christmas tree and put away all the decorations (took down the artificial tree on Thursday). I hauled the tree out into the woods behind the house and put it with the previous years - makes a nice habitat.

    Be safe out there!

We had about 2 inches of snow overnight yesterday, for Friday Morning, gone from the sidewalk and driveway by the afternoon. I like what you did with the Christmas tree, all of us need to be stewards for wildlife.

Going to the grocery store early today. I am hoping to find some citrus and whole chickens. Parts for the Toro snow blower should be here today, and it is time to put Christmas back up into the attic.
The temperature was in the high teens las night. Coldest night of the winter so far.

Brrr... 6° this morning. We got 1-2" snow, no ice, so it was an easy cleanup. Fun watching new snowplow drivers training yesterday. They use our road to practice on, since it has a bit of everything. I saw a few drivers straighten the plow when passing our driveway. It pushes the snow past the approach, so emergency vehicles have better access, and makes approach cleanup much easier. We'll see how long that lasts. But for now, it's a .

    Morning all:

Happy birthday and another welcome to the porch, make sure to fill up the cooler and then pull up a chair on the porch, good group here with varied interests and hobbies, so post away on any projects or endeavors!

Looks like winter has arrived, maybe 2-3" of snow yesterday, calling for freezing rain tonight with possible power outages, and single digit morning temps. for a couple days next week, going to be cold hunting!
Didn't even break out the snowblower for the snow, I'm in no hurry to use it!!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Glad we're not single digits like some of you - 46* is already warmer than it ever got yesterday. But we have a downgraded Saturday with maybe 59* and on/off rain at 40%. We'll see how far I can get on the truck. I did everything else I could putz on yesterday in the cold; cut up boxes, changed the porch lights, changed a garden flag out front.......
Oh, was so ugly yesterday that the gas grill refused to cook my burgers~! Have to check that out. Loosened the connector, and sure had plenty of gas rush out, but no flame. So, there's that to look in to.
    Have a great Saturday!

I'm going to look for those next trip. I bought some more of the LED packs I used for bed lights to light up that stupid receptor for the spare tire. You just can't see it!

I quit for the day. It's so wet outside, the tools are getting wet sitting in the garage! But, the hard part is done.

Two lugnuts are not going to make it. 10 pack from Amazon/Dorman be here tomorrow.

    uh....

That's the nut I used to tighten the studs. It used to have a rounded collar. But lots of silver goop, and patience, it lasted.

Putting the studs in the freezer shrinks the diameter slightly and makes it a bit easier to install.
Or go full Monte and drop them in liquid nitrogen and then just slip them right in.

LOL, I got you. I tried to buy a second nut, but they only had one. It gave it's all, and I saluted the burial.
After this week, I only have ONE set of original studs left!

I installed my new sheepskin seat covers today. I love sheep skin seat covers. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer and just plane comfortable. And look good too. Took me about 40 minutes. After the exhausting installation I went to the grocery store and while there I noticed a bottle of Basil Hayden Kentucky Bourbon, it was calling my name, Ken oh Ken take me home. So I did what the voices in my head told me. So now I’m getting ready to grill a couple of beautiful prime aged steaks and enjoy a wee dram of the Reverend Haydens fine bourbon while I perform my grill master duties. It’s a sunny day here about 60, a great day to bbq. Life here in Northern California is tough but I persevere. Happy what ever day it is porchies.

The art work on the wall in the background is some of my wife’s. She’s an accomplished artist.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

Got a call from Lynn's Mom's caregiver yesterday afternoon...she tested positive for COVID 19 soooooo...we are in a 5 day self-quarantine. Fortunately, she has been off since Wednesday to celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas so we may have missed the exposure but both Lynn and her Mom spent a bunch of time with her on Wednesday. No symptoms for us at this point.

I will have a beer from time to time - mostly in the summer - but prefer a little bourbon or a Gin and Tonic as my drinks of choice. Guess I have a few days to totally relax on the porch now. Too cold to do anything outside although I do have a garage door sensor that is acting up - couldn't go out so I ordered a new set from Amazon to be delivered on Tuesday. Then, last night, the sensor magically started working again. I'll replace them both when the parts arrive.

    Stay safe!

You didn’t need a second chrome nut.
The el-cheapo std lug nuts are perfect. I’d save every lug nut I replaced just to install studs.
