2wd-4wd Mode Change Failed

2019 Tacoma TRD Pro.

I know there is a lot of post about this issue, and I have read a lot of them and have not found a solution. Here I go...
I was off roading and hit my Transfer Case Actuator with a big rock while I was in 4low, the plastic case broke.
Got home disassemble everything, put the truck back to 2wd manually pussing the rod into the transfer, I reassembled the actuator case after glueing it back together making sure the the gears were timed correctly, when I went to test it, it went to 4high just fine, went to 4low but made a clunck noise and got stuck into 4low, did everything again, disassembled everything, put it back to 2wd manually and when I went to test it I had the message in my dash "2wd-4wd change system failed" and it won't do nothing now.
Anything that anybody say will be good input at this point.

Check the connectors for any bad pins. It might not be the culprit but its a good place to start

I watched Classy Tacos go through an actuator re-solder recently. The key is to check the actuator with a 9V Battery and a + & - wire on alligator clips. You may want to review his video before buying any parts. Hope this helps. Re-soldering the two contacts worked for him. No new parts needed and the error cleared out. Not saying this is what is happening with you but it is worth checking since this seems to be a known issue.

 

How did you reassemble and retime the actuator?

Thanks, my problem is with the Transfer Case Actuator, not the ADD!

 

I actually found that same YouTube video showing how to timed it wich worked for that guy, there is a mark at the red gear and a mark on the actuator box to line with the bigger gear.

Forward to ~7:07, he disassembles the ADD to get to the Actuator and solder the connectors.

 

Yes, thank you so much, the truck has two actuators, that one he is working on is for the front diff, I have no issues with that, mine is the transfer case actuator.
(I will check that as the last resource)
